Great that you are doing this spencer but sadly I expect alot of die hard zelda fans who dont visit STBC or normally buy vinyl will get ripped off paying stupid $$$ for this one. I'll say it again.

From LITA

Here on vinyl for the first time, Grammy nominee Ramin Djawadi’s score for Game of Thrones Series 3 is integral to the fabric of the show with choir and orchestra counter-balanced by percussion and rhythmically driven sounds from the world music arena. His creative use of sound effects adds mystery and allure to this epic fantasy of political and sexual intrigue. This third collection of music from the series offers fans three different versions of the Game Of Thrones theme – two of them previously unreleased.

“Dark Wings, Dark Words” is a downtempo choir version whilst “For The Realm” is a solo guitar version performed by Djawadi himself. Additional music includes “It’s Always Summer Under The Sea (Shireen’s Song)” performed by Kerry Ingram who plays Shireen in the show along with “The Bear And The Maiden Fair” sung by US indie rock band The Hold Steady.

Got the below in an email from Lex records this morning, I thought it was interesting enough to be worth a punt.

"Analogue synth enthusiasts and John Carpenter fans rejoice. "The Silence" is the score to the underground indie sci-fi film of the same name. I Speak Machine is Tara Busch. Her music is made from layers of eerie synth and spectral vocals.

Early supporters of I Speak Machine include new wave pioneer John Foxx (Ultravox) and soundtrack composer Clint Mansell (Requiem For A Dream, Black Swan)."

@lazyben I preordered this from Norman records on the back of their description -

"Tara Busch tries to make an indie rock slasher flick with The Silence but just ends up with the soundtrack, a record of bloodthirsty synths that at times recall a pop star version of Pharmakon who relents from the layers of noise and instead offers hushed vocals and softened beats. Eerie and occasionally flashing white, this will go down well with fans of Death Waltz, John Carpenter and Gazelle Twin."

And then watched the video. It's pretty wild.

US folks, the Alessandro Alessandroni - Industrial LP is in stock at Forced Exposure. Might want to move quickly if interested as they report stock levels are already low.

Good advice deafmetal. Was listening to it yesterday and there is more ideas in that record than some composers have in a career. Utterly essential LP.

As a (very) lapsed Numanoid, has anyone here heard this and have an opinion?

Kind of fancy getting this, but the reviews I've seen are a bit mixed.

I don't understand why the overprinted plastic sleeve is £5 more than the version with an actual gatefold jacket. I wonder if by plastic they mean PVC...

Speaking of PVC, I have been getting a lot of LPs lately that come in heavy clear PVC sleeves. It is my understanding that PVC and vinyl LPs don't mix, because there is an "offgassing" chemical reaction that causes the vinyl to become cloudy/hazy and noisy. I have a couple of records like this. Here's what it looks like:

Does anyone else do what I do and immediately trash the PVC sleeves and replace with polyethylene sleeve?
