@hncreature - agreed! I have my package in hand but haven't opened them yet due to no time. So how do I spoil the surprise of opening it 1st time - read about others doing so on here.

I reckon there should be a months ban on pics of any new packages going up... people can boast with words only!

Again agreed - I don't have much fun in life so opening up these packages are like a thousand mini-christmasses That's why I got annoyed with OWS Surf Nazi shipping notice saying 'Black Vinyl' before I had chance to open it

I thought it was all about the music! And trust me the pictures won't ruin what's in front of you just the same as a photo of a sunset is all well and nice but being on a beach with the sun on your face as you watch it in the moment is a totally different experience!

I'm pretty sure he didn't mean that you should be banned for a month, just that there should be a one month ban on pictures of new releases...

You know what? You're absolutely right. That'll learn me to read and reply on my phone whilst walking around work. Liftman2013, my apologies for misreading your post. And of course if there was a 'period of grace' for posting pictures established cross site I would happily follow it.

While we all can't control it completely, its mostly our own discipline that gets us in trouble..

I mean, while not adding more fuel to the mondo fire on other threads here, if I applied that to my mondo JP, id be royally fucked. I still haven't received my copy, which I ordered back in June. Ill wait it out though as ive had the update letter and I ain't gonna get into the moaning game of it all. Plus I have other soundtracks that deserve a 1st listen, let alone a 3rd and forth!
No worries with the variant spoil anyway - I always get black haha. Although reading many peoples comments, im probably the lucky one for it!

Subs arrived, look great. Not really a fan of the House of the Devil artwork (but don't expect to be a fan of all the original art so thats fine), but the texture/thick sleeves are blinding.
I don't want to be "that guy", but... any word on if subbers can expect something to make up for the missing print with BTBR? As someone who subs for both the music and the original artwork in equal measure, the prints/posters/etc are half the fun for me!

Also, what do you lot do with the obi strip? I find them to be a hassle getting in and out of sleeves and sometimes wish they weren't there... almost tempted to just fold them up and keep them inside the record... is that sacrilege?
