Good point Danhousen, in that case the shipping increase will mostly affect UK folk (though there might be taxes too).
I've not been around since the beginning, etc, and I can see that it might feel like that feeling when 'your' band sells out and they're playing sold out arenas when you saw them play in front of 60 people at the start. Disappointment is a reasonable reaction.
When it comes down to it, it's just business. In this case it means UK collectors might pay more for exclusive variants, but US customers (likely a much greater number) look like they'll be much better off. It's unfortunate as a UK buyer, and I'd personally need to pay more (more likely I'll buy standard vinyl at the local record shop). In the grand scheme of things, it's going to be better for collectors in terms of releases, and better for the majority, cost-wise. I'd prefer all record labels had a kiosk near my house and I'd just pop round whenever I wanted to, but business is business.
On the plus side, I'm impressed by the Mondo combined shipping rates, quite reasonable for each additional record. I might bulk order if a few releases come out. I hope most people are happy with the changes, and every success to Spencer, DW and Mondo.
