I don't know if anyone else has said this up in here yet, but on the recent Shock Waves cast Kevin confirmed that they are indeed doing 'Jack Nitzsche's score from William Friedkin's Cruising...'

This is BIG news for me. BIG.

Yep. He said that in a FB chat a few weeks ago as well. And I believe he said then that it would be a 3 or 4xLP set. Bring it on.

Yessir, I recall that chatter and my initial excitement. What wasn't clear back then was whether it would be Nitzsche's original score or the songs which he produced (which were previously released on the soundtrack). To have confirmation that it is indeed the former...that's what has my heart going pit-a-pat!!

If I had to guess further I'd say, similar to Warriors release: reissue of OG soundtrack and unreleased score, but each at 45rpm across 2x discs....

Ah, understood. I presumed it was to be the score, but I have no idea why. Good guess by the bye; I think that's probably the move as well.

Thanks for the heads up, Gibbsy! I was 86'd from that group, but I've managed to weasel my way back in.

did they ban/block you for some reason? i got blocked by them on Instagram for some reason. i think it's because i made a comment about them posting pictures of old releases that have been out for months and saying they're "on sale" making it sound like they're reduced in price, when by "on sale" they mean "available to buy" which is nothing new for a release that has been available for months.

To my knowledge, Waxwork isn't directly involved in the running of the Waxwork Fan Club FB group, but I haven't spent much time there. I set up a dummy FB account and joined when I heard that Waxwork was actually doing a video Q&A there (which was totally worthwhile, they talked about loads of upcoming releases), but I got booted as soon as I attempted to uplift the natives. I had miscalculated and they were not ready yet. I joined again for the free subscription contest, but you have to dress up your Waxwork records and have a tea party or something in order to win. If I wanted to do staging, I'd be a realtor. Hard pass.
