On a much smaller scale I went to the London barbican last night, where a small orchestra played Michael Caine soundtracks. Programme included Get Carter, Italian Job, Alfie and Ipcress File. Was a bit odd when Phil Jupitus sang 'Self preservation society' (non UK forum members shout 'who?'). Also had Matt Munro Jnr singing. Good night though.

Christ on a bike Re-Cat, I'm booking that!! Thanks a mill for the heads up. I dont mind the barbican too much. Good pub across the road with proper ale, and 10 mins walk from liverpool street station - my needs are few . Saw some great stuff there last year, Philip Glass & Gavin Bryars to name two.
