Escape From L.A.
Thanks, Tim. Now if you could just convince them to drop Predator and Commando a bit...

That's a steal for Escape From LA. I paid $24 for a Amazon Warehouse copy, at that price I was very happy. I honestly love that score, it's a lot of fun.

I'm with you Mateo, I would love to pick up Commando and Predator but I'm not paying those prices.

No sure about that. I believe Predator is pretty well sold out. It makes me itchy just thinking about it.

then lets cross fingers for a repress, hopefully from another label who is less expensive, Mateo. Not giving up on one day owning Predator on vinyl. I find it hard to support real Gone music, as they are expensive, barebone packaging, uninspired artwork design.... I feel like they got the rights to Predator by throwing in more money to buy the rights and then we're left with paying their high prices. With Mondo doing the Alien franchise, I was expecting them to tackle the Predator as well.

This is the quandary. It's a shame that we have to pay Music Matters or Analog Productions pricing to get decent sounding wax. No sapresions being cast; I'm often at the head of the queue to do so. I was encouraged to hear that Mondo's $35 black Jaws sounded so good, but, let's be honest, some of their $35 LPs have not. Waxwork is a little better (and a little pricier), but still not perfect. We are in a small corner of a niche market here at STBC and we may see more and more niche pricing going forward. This seems to be a similar forecast for almost all physical media outside the deepest waters of the mainstream. Anyhow, sorry to derail the thread with my latest musings.

Derailing will continue....

Mateo, what releases from Waxwork and Mondo have had issues sound quality wise? My equipment isn't the greatest and my listening room is now the living room due to space limitations but I feel like I can discern a bad pressing from a good one most days. I don't own a lot of Mondo and only have one Waxwork. Is there ones in particular that people avoid or are pissed about the quality?

its most likely to arrive warped, resealed or damaged from that place.

Don't risk it, many of us bought "warehouse copies" from Oldies and they were all warped, probably from sitting in an overheated warehouse for too long.

Hey, I only paid like $30 for my warped copy if memory serves. I pity the fool who goes for $20 over that.

I just ordered from them as well last week. I ordered Daniel Pemberton's score to "Molly's Game." I should be getting my package on Thursday. I'll let folks know if it was packaged well.

Never heard of them, took a chance. I grabbed Altered Beast OST for $19.50 with free shipping. I would have never bought this LP otherwise, Data Discs/Mondo charging $35 shipped for roughly 20 minutes of video game music is just too much for me. I know it's nice packaging and everything but this is an expensive hobby and I need to weigh my options most of the time and prioritize. (this is also coming from the guy who has bought all of the Castlevania LP's because he needs them no matter the damn price....)

Thanks for the heads up!
