No more new releases from us this year, we'll be focussing on our fave Mondo/DW releases of 2017 for the next few weeks. 1st releases of 2018 include Autopsy Of Jane Doe, Fuga Dal Bronx, Lost Boys 7" & many many more
I am thinking they are going to put some more of already sold out releases back... That plus some shipping discount. Didn't they do that last year as well around this time?

I received one with Alien, let us know if you don't acquire one in the upcoming month or two, I'm sure we can find a way for you to hear it...

I got it! ...but please never use this method to fix a cd/record. It kills the cover. Thx, anyway....

Trust you OBI strip-loving fiends on here are following DeathWaltz/Transmission Records current crate digging visit to Japan on the ol' social media (chiefly Instagram and Twitter) ...?

Some great videos and snaps being shared... along with some very enviable looking vinyl 'bounty' ;)

^^^ Reminds me that I still need that bonus DJ Food mix CD - 3 separate orders from Mondo arrived before Christmas but no cigar/CD

@spun
soooo jealous would love to go digging in Japan. Also I really should have an instagram account.
I Hope they have a bunch of anime/j-movie stuff to go in the store/discogs. I've got some great pieces at good prices from them in the past.
I was hoping to organise a wantlist but unfortunately didn't get round it.

Their future plans for the store/bar sound exciting.

Very jealous of their pickups. Curious to see what they are going to keep or sell. They bought the exact copy of The shock that I have been contemplating buying for over a month. The record shop they bought it from had it for sale on its discogs page for $99. I simply did not have the money to spend but was hoping to next month...
Oh well. Another copy in that state will pop up eventually.

Great meeting with AMS Records today. Lots of incredible Italian releases to come. Tenebre is up next including some jaw dropping Art from @damnthedesign. Spent the evening catching up with @CigaretteBurns_ and Twitterphobe Sean Hogan. A very good day indeed.

My Dear Killer - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack LP
Music by Ennio Morricone. Package design by Eric Adrain Lee. Pressed on 180 Gram red & white color-in-color vinyl. One-time pressing. Limited to 550 copies. $30

Death Waltz Recording Company is proud to present the soundtrack to the 1972 giallo MY DEAR KILLER (MID CARO ASSASSINO) with music by Maestro Ennio Morricone and package design by Eric Adrian Lee.

Directed by Tonino Valerii (Assistant Director on A FISTFUL OF DOLLARS and FOR A FEW DOLLARS MORE), the film is easily one of the greatest of all giallo films to come out of Italy. You owe it to yourself to track it down and watch it. The score from Maestro Ennio Morricone is absolutely outstanding and not only is it one of his most unheard scores but also one of his best during his giallo period.

The record is intense, unsettlingly creepy and mesmerizing. It features the haunting vocals of Italian musical royalty Edda Dell'Orso on several tracks and its jazz-lounge stylings are absolutely superb. It's incredibly easy on the ears and lends itself to repeat listens.

Have been waiting for this one.
If anyone wants to check out the movie send me a PM. It is pretty good as far as finally goes.

It's a great score, I know that much. It was a split release on Cerberus along with Black belly of the tarantula. BBOTT seemed to take Top billing on that release but My dear Killer has always been the better score on that record IMO.I'm guessing this is expanded compared to the cerberus LP.
Will have to duly revisit it.

Bezulsqy wrote:If I am not mistaken that release is the re-imagined score to Evil Dead. Not the original.
That is my supposition as well. IIRC, Spencer mentioned the original tapes are long gone/lost/destroyed and that this would be a rerecording. Not sure how much of that is still true or, if it is, what the differences will be between this and the original, musically speaking. Sure sound like a fun project to be a part of though.

Yeah LoDuca decided to reimagine his original score so people would stop asking about the original. as far as i know, they are indeed lost.

If it's anywhere near the quality of that 7" release, or the reports from the live concert, then it's going to be well worth the effort. Looking forward to hearing more.

Interesting info guys....did not know that the original tapes are no longer in existence. Should be cool to hear a new version.

Deaf is that 7' evil dead theme pretty faithful to the original or is it a bit different. I kind of always wished the opening piano track theme was much longer.

@spencer Will Transmission get copies from the two Rob soundtracks? Since DHL raised their fees (+6€) it doesn’t make sense to order from the US. :-(
