It's too bad that they had another falling out with Lombardo and he wasn't included on this final tour. I'm glad Paul Bostaph is back for the last run though. They hit the TC at the end of May.

Sad to see them ‘retire’.

@Mateo - are you going up to Vancouver? Hard to believe there are no Portland or Seattle bookings. I saw them a couple times here over the last 5-10 years.

@BPW - Agreed on Dave. Normally, a good reason to play hooky, but it's the final tour and I've not seen them since I was a pup.

@Deaf - Exactly so. I was really surprised by that. Quite a few legacy metal acts have been playing the Tacoma Dome these past few years and filling it with folks from both Portland and Seattle and all parts in between. I thought for sure that's what Slayer was going to do.

^Amazing no Seattle or Portland show!

Looks like this is finally up for a massive repress on black wax.

@Mateo - I’m a bit bummed to miss the final tour. I have a lot of great memories though. Raining Blood will be my jam forever.

@BPW - I saw that and I'll definitely be picking it up. It's the only Gorillaz I've ever felt the need to own on wax. Long overdue.

@Deaf - I'll bang a head for us all. Raining Blood is an all timer.

The brilliant (IMHO) JG Thirlwell.

Especially tracks with the titles Stumbo and Someone Drowned In My Pool.

Also a master of oneliners printed on his releases:

Had a chance to A/B the two versions of the Arthur Verocai LP on my headphones. Both were done by Mr. Bongo. The original reissue sounds good and came in a standard gatefold sleeve. But this "re-reissue" is a half speed master done at Abbey Road studios. It came in a heavy tip-on gatefold with an obi strip and has a big booklet of photos and liner notes. While the first one is pretty good, this half speed is really superb. It makes the first one sound harsh like it was cut "hot". Dynamic, open, crisp, punchy and well-balanced sound. The vinyl itself is much heavier, and the pressing is better made.

My store never got this one for RSD last year. I caved and imported a copy from a seller in Portugal. I recommend anyone interested in this album consider tracking down a copy of this half speed remaster edition. Just night and day better than the first one.

I'll probably never have an original to compare this to, but I'd wager the half speed blows the original Brazilian one out of the water.
