that's not exactly true from what i'm reading, correct? how can they say that if it's not the case?

As much as I'm a big fan of what WW bring to their releases, they are a bit slack on their fact checkin' (or: they like a bit of hype ;)
I recall their otherwise superb Shock Waves, trumpeted as 'the first electronic film score' or somesuch. Pretty far from it I'm afraid.
Anyway, dead keen to see if between us we have 'Sherlocked' the tracklist on their Manhunter correctly. You never know, we may still get a surprise.

I actually listened to some of the tracks on YouTube and loved what I heard so I'm going to be grabbing it, I just wish for stuff like this that they'd release track listings prior to release. Don't know what holding it back does.

I just looked and it's basically what we thought. Both Kitaro tunes (as one cue) and the Schulze cut are tracks 11 and 12 so to speak. They call Jogger's Stakeout a bonus track for some reason even though it was a "bonus" track nearly a decade ago when it was first released on a CD reissue. All told, this looks pretty cool. I'll definitely be picking it up. I guess the unreleased cues and songs will remain that way for now.

Here's my one quibble: Why tack the Schulze/Kitaro tunes on at the very end? They are prominently featured from very early on in the film and help set the tone throughout. Why not integrate them into the track list (such as Intrada did when including Jogger's Stakeout for the first time in 2010) in such a way as to make for a listening experience more reminiscent of the film? They even refer to In A Gadda Da Vida as "the famous closing track" in their newsletter. Seems odd that it's not actually the case on their own release.

Haha...I feel you. But in this case, there are some long ass tracks (esp if they're including full version of In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida and the Schultze/Kitaro tunes) so it does make sense. Remember though, the OG release had an 8m edit of full 17mins majesty of the Iron Butterfly choon, and I've no reason to believe (based on my reading of the blurry tracklisting in the above pic) that WW aren't doing likewise. Which is, y'know, a shame - another minor-ish irritation to add to the small but perfectly formed pile.

Btw - that release mail out was the most poorly written, typo-riddled label announcement I've seen for a while. It's taken them four years to put the release together, but it really looks like a sweat-soaked intern Wiki-cobbled it together five minutes before the deadline. Rather impressive! ;-)
