I'm a bit puzzled by the Amazon/Only Lovers Left Alive situation - not convinced it's going to arrive but we shall see!!

I was thinking the same thing...I'm about to delete my Amazon order and get it directly from ATP.

Hey guys.....I've been saying for a while on these boards (to anyone who'll listen! ;) that I just wouldn't trust the 'Zon when it comes to these limited wax OSTs. And hey, in the process of sourcing our lps from the label direct/other stores (both online and physical) we can perhaps consider that we maybe don't want to support such a filthy business model with it's very dodgy tax swindling/poor employment policies/price undercutting of every other store. Oops....managed to dig out that soapbox again...sorry!! ;)

Seriously though....anyone who's inclined, look into it. Dodgy.

@disco - I totally agree with you hoss, my only issue is location, distance & some of the prices of product in stores.

Since I left London I've been actually keeping a log of all the albums I buy and how much they cost, how long it takes to arrive, quality of packaging etc (yes I am that guy) and I will support a local store till my dying day, however...

Sunday I was in good old London Town & popped into what's probably now the biggest record shop in London? and was honestly shocked at the cost of pretty much everything they had on offer.

Rosemary's Baby - £29.99!!
The Fog (DW haze) £40.00!!!!

I remember these 2 mainly as let's face it, they're way, way over priced.

The way I see it a penny saved is a penny towards another purchase & I will 100% always prefer to go to a shop and buy my records but there does come a point where they just charge too much.

Moving swiftly on...

Today's arrivals.

The Lost Boys - Various.

Not sure how come I've never owned this till now.

Halloween III (US) - Carpenter/Howarth

Slight cover damage but vinyl is excellent.

And one I've wanted for quite a while.

Christine - Carpenter

All three of those are wheelhouse OSTs for me, TAG. Well done.

@mateo - I actually did quite well on these and paid virtually nothing for all 3 :)

Kudos, hombre. I've never gotten Christine and I've always presumed one was going from DW or the like, but it may be time to redouble my efforts.

@mateo - I thought DW would have or still will be releasing it. I just saw it in a bunch or utter crap so nabbed it.

Apparently, my Only Lovers Left Alive has now been dispatched by Amazon - as it was so cheap, I've still got a horrible feeling that they are sending me the 12" single but we shall see.

The dodgy side of Amazon is a good point but it's just so bloody convenient sometimes!

How cool is the "Triple Black" EP?!? Can't stop listening! Can't wait to receive the full album! ;)

The "Kreeper" it's an unwanted rarity...how many of you have this with both labels "SIDE B"? Not particularly happy for this (curio) issue... Anyway, great record, I regret to have missed the whole boxset... :(

@Bansell- That Piccioni is awesome. One of my faves of his.

@Max- My Kreeper 7" is in the mail so I'm not sure about the label. I wanted the sub for these and the Disposable series, but their shipping to the states was as much as each set because they insisted on shipping them separately as they became available. I asked for them to hold copies to reduce shipping, but they declined saying it would mess with their sales/shipping staff. Also, Mount Analog in LA, who usually gets most of the FK related stuff hasn't gotten all of them in so I've been trying to piece both series together, but it's a work in progress.

@mateo, really digging this Piccioni. Sad to say the only other thing by him I own is Sartana, which I have loved for years. Any essential Piccioni recommendations?

@max, I finally got the complete Kreeper set. Didn't have the issue you had with #4, however I did have to wait over 2 months for #1 and #3. Apparently they had problems with the pressings and sent them back to the plant to be redone. Then received a new batch which were rejected as well. Seems like this collection has been cursed

I've yet to go wrong with Piccioni. But I love Scacco Alla Regina and Quelle Strane Occasioni. Also Fumo di London is super rad. Was a nice vinyl reissue on Black Cat Records a few years back that you can still probably find for a decent price.
