Finally snagged a cheapish copy of this one. These music scene record must not have been widely distributed, they seem pretty scarce.

Is it really Lou Stein (American jazz pianist), or is that an alias? It is piano-led stuff. Great record I am enjoying it for sure.

really dig this label and some of it's releases, even if many were published somewhere else before. i think i have collected about 10 of them already. still have like 2 or 3 on my want list. poor distribution and low pressing number like with almost all italian libraries that i look for, haha!

Yeah but Marco is impossible. I offered him a crazy trade for a record that actually has a documented sale history above what he is asking (and no such history exists for Ritmo), but I can't buy that.

@Texas Was it the copy of 'Drammatico' that you mentioned in the other thread? Wouldn't have imagined Marco to be very open to trades.
On a related note, his copy of 'Spontaneous' came and went quickly, if I'm not mistaken.

Yep. That's the one. So I listed it to maybe prove a point lol. And that I did, since my drammatico is gone now !! My wife said it scared the baby. She's probably right. It's not very pleasant.

I did see that spontaneous. Man. Third one this year actually. Guy in Belgium sold one €1400, Marco possibly sold his for as much as €1800 and Aussie dude sold one for 1000.

never got into Drammatico, really. it is mad rare but that does not mean anything. it puts you into a unpleasant mood in my opinion.

i believe Spontaneous is getting a reissue by Sonor. seen a short clip from a recording session from tapes on FB. really hope so because it is a very good record. more people need to hear it! i rate it much higher that his butterflies for example.

my first morning spin and i was struggling with myself whether to post this in the jazz or in the library thread. this one is so good and in my opinion the best from the Jazz At Meridiana series. such a pleasant record all the way through! the Eloff Street tune is almost hypnotizing. super tight session and one italys hidden jazz jewels!!

Funny his prices on Trip and the UST were too low. I didn't see that UST, probably for the best. I might have bought that one, it's very good and tough to find. The others.... those prices are so high!!! I wonder why LOra Cocktail is unloved. It's a fantastic record and surely Cenacolo didn't press 10,000s of them..

I have a pink Cooper "jazz at meridiana" but a very different record than yours.... Mine is terrible!!

really dig that UST 370 as well! i ttook me a while to find it. also agree on your opinion on the price. it is only 50€ more than the last copy which sold in 2016. it's almost like he forgot to put a digit in front of that price, haha! but seriously, i was always wondering how prices for records like these are being made. he must have some extensive knowledge about records. of course you can't be flawless with selling so many records...

you must have the Tradizionale Jazz At Meridiana. i wouldn't call it terrible but it is the least interesting one, no question!

Yeah I'm always skeptical of stuff like that.. and there have been some fraud shenanigans reported lately. Guy buying big titles outside of discogs and then filing fake PayPal claims and keeping records.

A last spin of this crazy shit before boxing it up. It's a pretty copy too. Won't be finding another of these!

Spinning Roundtable's first reissue of this. It has the SR logo. Their newest reissue lacks the logo which can no longer be licensed but improves on the prior with a tip-on jacket like the original. This pressing sounds pretty solid. For sale, forum price $75 shipped..

good late night spin. at least for my taste, haha! this is the best Telefilm. the other two have some enjoyable moments but are no keepers. really love N.2 with all it's mystery, melancholy, psychedelia and spirituality! according to discogs, some paid crazy dollars for it. :(

I'm very curious due to the people involved, but nervous about taking a £50 punt on a copy tbh ;) I haven't heard it, and there don't appear to be any rips online at all. Ah well, thanks anyhoo!

My first assumption was some kind of bootleg comp, but going by the tracklist I guess that isn't so.

Thanks for the intel bud - there must be a reason it goes for that much and I'd hope it's because the music is all killer! Very intrigued anyhoo - I came across it because I've been looking into Ernest Berk, very interesting experimental composer, did some film work. And Mike Vickers I know all too well, terrific movie scorer (and former member of Manfred Mann), responsible for the mighty Dracula AD 1972 of course. But I'm also a fan of his delightful score for the Norman Wisdom film Press for Time.
