Is green as good as orange? I saw some folks pay eye popping prices for that green one.

you sound like you grabbed the orange one from discogs shortly and need to satisfy your collectors hunger by completing the set :)
the green one is equivalent to the orange but only because some muppets pay every price for a record, it does not mean that it's worth it.

For most other songs, there’s also a copyright date (as you can see) but this one doesn’t have one.

Oh and I got put on Janko just because Xenos Cosmos is on there, which I had never heard, and I loved it so much that I was like “I need to check out this guy’s other records” and thus, a great deal of money was spent.

Yes but my notes say "orange better of the two"! Although I don't know where this came from! I am content to only have the better one but was curious when I couldn't find any clips at all of the green one. I can hear Mr Backbone in several of the tracks especially one called Patrizia.

Notice the missed note at 1:42 and they just keep it in there, I love how fast they made these

For some reason, I wasn’t expecting much out of this (it wasn’t expensive so I thought I’d give it a chance) but it is an absolute banger. Soooooo great. I’m on my second spin even though I have a whole other pile of records to get to.

This silver men I marc record (# 2002) is pretty good. Like most all I marc records it is somewhat inconsistent, but there are an above average number of winners here. Doesn't seem to turn up often and was one of the only I marc still missing from the shelf so I'm happy to have snagged this

I have this also havershaw, and agree a great little record with a variety of different things on it.

Michel Berger was a Pop chanson composer and France Gall's husband. If you check the clips to this instrumental LP of his from 71 I'm sure the same session dudes were involved for those patchwork 2 tracks. Toni Rubio, p a dahan and Claude Engel.

@million, I love the Africadelic Side A for sure - it’s really amazing. Side B is a bunch of percussion-only tracks, which is cool, but I can’t see myself spinning that side a whole ton.
I have Africadelic No. 1 coming soon, hopefully - tracking shows it entered the country so I’ll probably have it in 4-5 days.

#42 Moods - unlimited creativity on this one. hidden jewel!
#69 Aquarius - fantastic aquatic library!
#71 Rhytmiques Et Percussions - another french answer to Klaus Weiss' Time Signals, this one is heavy!
#80 Drama - almost like the three Cosma records (3, 20, 29), this is the soundtrack to a unknown french movie, see also my list
#90 Africa - lovely ambient record!

Actually, a few days ago, a European seller who had a lot of them offered me free shipping if I bought a whole bunch, so I got 5 from that seller and I think I have 4 more coming from other sellers, so I am about to get slapped in the face with a whole bunch of April Orchestra.

But there are still a bunch of records on eBay that aren’t part of that...so I did reach out to the seller to see what kind of a deal we could make for me to take all of the records I don’t already have.

I got lucky and got a decent deal on 35. I think it was maybe $50?
I did edit that post but you may not have seen it while you were writing your *extremely helpful* post (and thanks for that!), but I actually did order the Lizzards. I’m thinking it should be here any day now.

Big Bass was on my radar. Aquarius, too, but there hasn’t been a single copy for sale in the past couple of months.
I almost bought a copy of Moods last week, but I couldn’t get the seller to come down to less than $100 and I already knew I was getting into a bunch of April Orchestra, so I passed for the time being, only because there seem to be a few out there.

Weirdly, 10 seems to have some cool stuff on it. I usually avoid the “children” library titles because they’re often too goofy for me. But I checked this one out and it seemed like it was pretty solid.
