WHY IS THERE SO MUCH TERRIBLE CLOWN MUSIC

I was a kid in the 70s but I don’t remember that many clown movies and TV shows needing music.

Just an astonishing record. By far the most excited I have been by a release this year - how something like this can sit unreleased for almost 40 years just boggles my mind...

In case you haven't sampled it yet - it's like Bernard Herrmann/early 80s Morricone mixed with Matsuo Ono space electronics. And it's every bit as extraordinary as that sounds.

I really need to pick that one up. They were burning through material so fast and never thinking about it again. It was really something.

havershaw, if you want one to explore on Edipan you might get Cartoline. It is under his Leo Flag moniker. I won't promise NO circus music, there is at least one circus track on the B side, but this is a far more interesting and better record than Kalendimaggio and has some tracks maybe assisted by alessandroni or i marc guys. A couple of beats, a little bit of vibe, a little bit of bossa. And it is a $20 record.

I must admit, I had no idea about his Leo Flag pseudonym at all. I usually end up going down a rabbit hole of that stuff, but somehow I missed that.

Also, I really love that Sounds From the Far Space album. Incredible.

Speaking of circus music: there are a few gems on this Musik Mosaik record I got, but I’m amazed at how much more there is on here that I don’t care about. Amazing pressing, though. It sounds incredible.

(this is all the stuff that came yesterday - mostly pretty cheap stuff that was available here in the US, except the MP2000 that just took forever to get here.)

Only listened to Musik, the National B + H (amazing sounding music for a spooky mummy movie or something), and one of the Major records, which basically sounded like cool Hi-Q stuff (I also have another batch of Hi-Q coming today!).

Spinning this a lot since I grabbed it. Really outstanding, varied but cohesive enough to where you can listen to the whole thing through on repeat. Wish I had more like this one.

I haven’t been able to spin the rest of the new stuff because another shipment of Hi-Q came in yesterday and I’m excited enough about that stuff that it always goes on *immediately*.

BTW, I did rip a bunch of library stuff to share with you all - all the Southern I have, all the Patchwork, and some other stuff, but I need to clean a little of it up and I haven’t had a chance cause I’ve been working all week. But I’m taking some time off starting tomorrow so I’m hoping to get that stuff up so you guys can check some of it out, if you want.

I think this might be my only library album. Maybe a few others stuck in with the classical albums from years back. It’s a rabbit hole I purposely avoided because of how crazy deep it goes. And also how pricey it can get.

So I’m living vicariously through you @havershaw. :)

I heard some clips of the new record. I heard more space in the tracks, and it may be a case of less is more!! Sounded nice. I'm not sure when orders will open up for it

This record is a wild ride. Why Italian stuff is so good... Seems like they just did whatever the hell they wanted. Experimental double bass concept album? Sure, why not!

It says they are repressing that and it's release is next week, I can't find any info from Sonar Music Editions of this announcement. Is it real?

I also heard that they may be repressing RITMO DELL'INDUSTRIA N°2 this year as well, any truth to that?

I do remember that Sonor mentioned something maybe on Facebook that a repress was coming some time? Mostly I remember because I don’t have this one and I was relieved to hear it.

i used to be super obsesed with this record, and even more with the library topic using tracks or even whole records to describe ancient gods. i started a list a while ago but could not find more than three records. if you know more, please let me know...

this is my favourite record with the similar topic as Cronos and it comes from the two library super heroes Nino Nardini and Roger Roger. fantastic stuff! haunting, mysterious, overwhelming, spitirual and deep as hell (or heaven?).

these 80s Musax records are so much fun! they are handmade with handwritten labels and stuff. would be great to know how many of these were made.
