If someone isn't happy with his sub, don't take the next sub and let it to a real fan who will honor it.

Im verry proud to be a subber.

Spence don't sweat it. Some folks will never be happy no matter what you do. I'll be re-upping my sub tomorrow along with a butt load of other folks who get what you're doing and trust you. Done and done.

I'm a fan, proud sub member, and I'm not complaining. Criticism doesn't have to taken personally, and I don't think anyone here is attacking Spencer about anything. Geez, sometimes it feels like anything on this forum that isn't total praise of Spencer is attacked upon immediately for being negative. Everyone needs to lighten up.

Fore every person who isn't happy, there is always someone happy to take that spot. I've heard that from a boss over the years. "If you aren't happy here, I can find someone else who is." Blah, blah, blah. Hah! I ended up quitting.

Subbers get a tote , a print set in a bespoke album sleeve and of course the Fabio Flexi . Plus they get the RSD set if they want it ...

Yeah I wanna do a black vinyl sub even if it is just 100 copies.
No tip on sleeves (just a standard 350 GSM) and no extras. I am waiting on costs but I think we could maybe do this for around £12 a record - may be a bit more.....

I know the market is pretty saturated at the moment and the variant thing is out of control, so yeah offering an almost no frills edition would be good and at the end of the day if the scores I am releasing can't stand up on their own without all the bells and whistles I may as well give up..

Seriously, just give me these amazing OSTs on vinyl, fuck the frills! Ha, not exactly, I love the art and everything, every DW release is all-around beautiful. But to me, it is mostly about the damn muuuuuuuzzzzzik! Everything else is just like insanely well-designed frosting on a very tasty wedding cake.

I'm not a subber, but those look nice. I used to collect (don't laugh) Disney lithos. Now that I think about it, I don't even know where those are anymore....

VERY interesting...

@deathwaltzrecs
Definitely decided to offer a black vinyl no frills subscription service that should run to £12 a record. No posters/sleevenotes just wax

OK guys we are going to offer a back to black club for £75
will be a standard (no tip on / casebound) sleeve with artwork and a record . Nothing else.
What do you guys think ?
I wanna get the music out there and the variant / buy multiple copies of one record games is getting crazy....

I would be interested in that. Sounds like a fabulous idea.

@deathwaltz i think this is a great idea. i personally only care for the music, not much for the artwork and notes. I do really enjoy the variant vinyl colors however. I did look into buying death waltz releases through light in the attic to save some $$$ here in the US, but it being clear vinyl only kinda turned me off. i would definitely be interested in a subscription service like you mention without all the frills. i would like to be able to still purchase the record store day releases as a member of the subscription service however. all that said, i would likely go for the "back to black" subscription if given choice because it would save me quite a bit of money. its great that you are thinking of ideas like this spencer, and you aren't just out there to fleece the customer

I would love that! I can always buy a fancy version separately if I feel so inspired.

Any chance this can happen in time for sub 4? As a US subscriber, I fear I won't have pulled together enough money to re-sub.

Oh! I like that idea! Will it still have the same artwork on the outside as the colored variants at least?

with the black Subs would they included the mp3 downloads that you had mentioned for further releases (licence permiting)?
