Godzilla 7inch Single Collection[Universal Music Group UPKY-9024]

This set looks and sounds great. I was expecting a lot of modern 7” cardboard sleeves with those splintering cut edges, but these are lovely recreations of the vintage printed photo inserts, and they even recreated the original company paper sleeves and vinyl labels. Now that is attention to detail! Each 45 has a nice mylar outer sleeve as well and they were all tucked snugly in a single folding cardboard box. Many of these singles are difficult to find, especially pristine copies that sound this clean. As mentioned elsewhere, first vinyl singles for ‘92 Godzilla vs. Mothra and Shin Gojira.

Fair warning: supernerd territory and almost all vocals tracks. I thought the '92 Mothra tracks would possible catch my ear the most, but Miyarabi's Prayer from Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla really got in my head tonight:

Picked these up today. I don’t know too much about the Liquidator but I’m sure it isn’t too bad considering it’s a Schifrin joint.

I almost didn't see that Miracle Mile cassette in there, that's awesome.

I went to an antique shop today and stumbled across a copy of Le Parc. Picked up the Heathers repress last week and this bootleg Griselda LP is hilarious. I'm pretty sure they just took the image off of discogs and printed it on a jacket, it's so pixelated and the colors are off. They could of found a better image to use. I haven't listened to it yet but the previous boots have been fine so I'm sure it will be as well. I'll take a $35 boot over a $2000 reseller.

Weirdly, I found a copy of the Liquidator in my local shop this week also and almost brought it home, but it was a mono copy so I decided to hold out for stereo.

I know nothing about that Cipriani record, but it was very cheap at my local store and I figured the odds of it being “a bad Cipriani record” were pretty much zero.

I did already have that Ted Auletta exotica record, but managed to find this stereo copy which I think I like more.

Also, pretty bummed to not have the cover of that Cobra LP on Rouge, but I am not bummed at how cheap it was.

Tamboo is great as is the Liquidator. I love walking into a record store and leaving with some Baxter.

You have some awesome records yourself. I really like that Egypt Strut it’s been on my table a couple times already :), and that Ted Auletta album is high on my exotica want list.

I did not have the money at the time of the first release. And I was planning to pick up at some time in the future via eBay or Discogs. But to my surprise Dialogo did a re-press on red wax for another 250 of these boxes and I was able to get it for 225 euro including shipping. So very happy indeed.
In the next few days I will delve into this massive set.

I appreciate that they included an homage to the original cardboard box. The originals came in a plain cardboard box with "RCA" printed in red on the front. Hopefully they did a nice job and they sound good!
