Machete Kills was 50$ on amazon last time I checked. that's too expensive for me, I don't like the movies, I think it worked really well as a fake trailer and when it became a full feature film it lost all it's appeal. I streamed the soundtrack anyway, to check it out, and it didn't do much for me.

i LOVED the movie MACHETE, but haven't seen MACHETE KILLS yet. i am very tempted to pick up the soundtrack, though.

Machete Kills is an awful movie, no two ways about it. Couldn't even finish it.

EDIT: Just remembered it has Lady Gaga in it. 'Nough said.

yah, I think I was a little impatient - and paid for it.

one sold on ebay for $51 recently, and I think ebay is usually an indication of the high water mark.

Yeah, Black Belly is sublime, but you should be able to pick one up for half of that. Just hang out for a bargain. I think I paid $10 or $20 on ebay a couple of years ago for a sealed one.

But remember that Death Waltz are soon putting out another reissue which will in all likelyhood be cooler.

Agreed - but personally could do without the 10 min live suite from the gig.... it was good - but not that good! Still the remastering by Frizzi himself and the artwork / rich information look like they make up for it!

Thanks for the info Rasmus -- agreed about waiting for DW's reissue but I'm a sucker for original artwork, and the posters look cool too! How does the pressing sound??

Or you could always wait until you hear it before saying you could do without it ;)

I know I know.... I did actually hear it live at the gig - so do remember my reaction to it. I realise it's probably particular to just me and not a general issue! I'm just not usually a fan of:
1. original music from one era, combined with later reinterpretations
2. studio recordings combined with live recordings

Always willing to be converted - these ears are open to all sounds... but - as I said - there's enough greatness attached to the release for me to be more than happy to grab a copy.

@NMA: The score is really good, haunting music with creepy atmospheres but some tracks are soft kind of easy listening, anyway the general mood is dark. Here's the only clip I've found:

Unfortunately Tulpa is one of the worst genre films I have seen in many a year.
At the world premiere two years ago I was sat behind the cast and crew.
The producer ran out in tears and it was the most awkward Q&A I have ever witnessed.
It was so bad people were howling in their seats (it wasnt supposed to be a comedy) Alan Jones hailed it as the return of the Gialoo He was talking about the genre we all thought he meant the Argento film.
