While we're mentioning Solaris...

I'd dig real deep for a ultra special (say 2xLP 45rpm, tip on cover plus notes) release of Cliff Martinez's beautiful score to the Soderberg remake. I've been collecting movie scores for about 20 years but in the decade since that came out I;ve possible played it more than anything else...

Oh, and if the vinyl gods are listening, an issue of Howard Shore's score to The Game as well please.

I can't second Jason's Solaris request emphatically enough.

Thirded. One of my favourite scores ever. I am kind of hopeful of a release with both Cliff Martinez and soundtrack pressing being fairly 'hot' at the moment. Maybe Invada Records?

I would also love to see Michael Andrew's scores for Me And You And Everyone We Know and Cyrus on vinyl, but maybe that's just me.

Would love to see both of these movie scores get transferred onto wax.

Alan Rudolph: Endangered Species

Arch Nicholson: Fortress

Completely second that. My girlfriend lucked into grabbing the soundtrack years ago for a really decent price for my birthday. Still have it. But I would love to see it reissued though. And yes, it is apparently a rights issue.

Somebody also mentioned Manhunter and The Keep. Second that as well.

For those who have never seen those films, the music is some of the more haunting, eerie and disturbing scores to accompany a movie, IMHO. Minimalistic-synth-pounding-skin crawling-awesomeness.

Endangered Species is the film from 1982 about cattle mutilation, not the one from the 90s. It was a very obscure, cable movie from the 80s. It's never been transferred to DVD, but luckily somebody has uploaded the entire movie on youtube.
Fortress is the australian movie from 1985 starring Rachel Ward (I believe it's still available on DVD) not to be confused with the other movies that came out years ago with the same title.

would really love to get Scott Walker's score for the Léos Carax film POLA X...

...and there's that dirge sounding Georgian folksong that plays during the procession of plague coffins in Herzog's Nosferatu... it doesn't appear on either the Brain or Egg soundtracks, and the closest approximation I've been able to track down is the reworking that Kate Bush does in the latter part of Hello Earth (on Hounds of Love)...

Pola X = seconded. Huge music...the "Glenn Branca"-esque scene with the guitar orchestra in the warehouse is both hilarious and terrifying ;)

Just re-watched Driller Killer, and a release that includes both the rather creepy and discordant Joseph Delia score, along with the Roosters' punk tracks would make for an exceptional LP.

not sure if I had said this before, but I SECOND this, NOTD has a great synth score! The guy who did it has it on his site, and from what I heard is kind of a tough dude to work with regarding a release.

- Someone's got to finally release the soundtrack to Robert Enrico's "An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge" (Music by Kenny Clarke & Henri Lanoë)... A 7" would be great. Some of the music can be heard on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNjG5ZkBi5o

- Rui Guerra's "Os Cafajestes" composed by Luis Bonfa needs a proper vinyl release too. I don't think it was ever issued in the first place.

- Last but not least, I'd love to see Roddy McDowall's "The ballad of Tam Lin" soundtrack get a release. It's from Pentangle and also has one awesome track sung by Selena Jones.

Another vote for Cannibal Holocaust here. Also I'd love to see really deluxe high end re-releases of Pet Sematary, 28 Days Later, and Jaws.

Just watched Ganja & Hess after not seeing it in years. Not only is the movie insane in all the best ways but its soundtrack is unlike any horror movie you'll ever hear. Such an amazing mix of soul, psychedelia, afrobeat, and dub. So yeah, add this to the list.

This doesn't quite fit with all the horror scores people want, but I damn sure wish there would be a US print/reissue of the Tron: Legacy soundtrack.

I kept passing on it at the record store when it initially came out because it was $55-58, and I just didn't want to spend that much on it...so I'm definitely not going to spend the $200-400 people are trying to gouge it at these days. It wasn't even that much of a limited edition, at over 9,000 copies made...you'd think it would be more easily found!

If anyone has an extra copy just lying around, and want to trade it...I'm up for it!
