2014 - 1983 = around 31 years ago. Although they were shooting Videodrome as far back as October 1981...I'm a Cronenberg nut, you understand.

Now if it turns out to not be Videodrome I'm gonna have to shoot you all with cancer bullets for falsely getting my hopes up :)

From what Carlos wrote I'm pretty sure it's coming even if it's not what Spenceer was talking about. When is of course another matter entirely :)

Yep videodrome. With the cover artwork a cigarette being put out on a boob and no vinyl, just an ost on vhs...

I was hoping for a shipping notice on SPM today but the record just showed up in the mail from LITA. Looks excellent! Will be spinning it later today. My copy is clear vinyl...

Because of the "blow your mind" reference, I'm thinking maybe Scanners.

Videodrome would be awesome. I finally got an original copy last year, great movie and great score.

John carpenters Christine is 30 years old and has a great carpenter/howarth score. A DW press would be awesome

That would fit the bill. Carpenter did get an Oscar for Broncho Billy :)

I'd settle for either...both are must haves imo. I've got cd copies.

Yes...the 'exploding head motif' could easily apply. I particularly like tracks The Exhibition and Vale's Lonely Walk.

It sure would!

When I heard Oscar winning composer, I immediately thought of Ennio Morricone and The Thing. How amazing would a DW release be of a double of this? Morricone's score on one record, Carpenter and Howarth's tracks on the other.

Christine please. Already have one of these bad boys, though I still regret not grabbing The Fly the last time I saw it.
Because of the “blow your mind” reference, I’m thinking maybe Scanners.
I thought of the same thing, Tim! Blu-ray coming from Criterion this July.
John carpenters Christine is 30 years old and has a great carpenter/howarth score. A DW press would be awesome
Um, hell yes, Phil! This got requested/talked about quite a bit early last year. Hard to find a reasonably priced copy of the score and it's a nice change of pace for Carpenter while remaining unmistakably his.
My Lands, that would me a daymaker! Loving these ideas, gang. I'll have one of each!

Try getting Christine on blu-ray....they only printed 3,000 copies and they go for around $80 or so. I'd love one, as it has the isolated score on there too!

I'm sure The Thing was hinted at during the first year of DW (or maybe it was just wishful think).

Anyone following the company's Twitter should be able to see that Spencer has secured a load of new artists that have never worked on record sleeves or soundtracks before. Exciting times!

Videodrome would be amazing. It's one of my all-time favourite scores and I frequently look in vain for a reasonably priced second hand copy on eBay etc. The Thing and The Fly obviously have incredible soundtracks too, but I have 'em already on wax - and let's face it, it's all about ME.

Would rather see the Brood or Scanners on vinyl rather than a reissue of videodrome.

Oh man the Brood is absolutely fantastic!
