I met Jeff Goldblum once (well, stalked him after seeing him in a sorta-high-brow theatre show, actually!) and I said "ach, I shoulda bought my buckaroo banzai dvd for you to sign!". He paused, with that patented enigmatic Goldblum half-smile playing about his lips, then quietly said "aahhh.....buckaroo banzai...." before disappearing into his rental car. Epic.

That is a great story. I've had a long time man-crush on Goldblum; The Fly, Thank God It's Friday, Invasion of the Body Snatchers (which has a great opening theme) and of course Buckaroo itself.

If I was a record label specialising in vinyl....I'd probably get in contact with labels such as Intrada/Lalaland Records and ask them what their biggest sellers were. Then I'd go about making deluxe vinyl versions.
