I'm curious about some record industry knowledge. Is there a 'standard' for licensing fees for Death Waltz to release some of this music? For instance, with 'Godzilla' vs. 'The Fog', were there significant differences in licensing fees to be able to release the music or is there generally a sort of fixed industry rate?

For certain releases that may be highly coveted I would think the licensing fees may be more, but for generally marketable products, or for maybe even marketable titles that have been 'dormant' for years like Godzilla, maybe the prices are negotiable.

I apologize to the fine folks on here if this is a bit off topic. I'm just becoming more and more curious about how the vinyl sausage is made.

I wouldn't mind another subject thread on here along the lines of industry talk. I'm sure the stories about how Death Waltz and the other labels are breathing new life into some of these releases and introducing previously unreleased material has got to be interesting.

I ordered on May 6th from DW and I never received my copy of SPM shipped to the US. Also, I know another person in the US that did not receive their copy either.

Freaky!! I ordered this on amazon UK just last night. It was the last one they had in stock. Well I assume it was this yellow version of the vinyl as they failed to give a description of the record other than it was brand new! Anyway, cool LP to be selling

EDIT: Ha! Wait a min I've just noticed this AMS yellow vinyl isn't released 'til the end of July! Must be different to the one I ordered on amazon then!

I have noticed you have one of the legendary Michell Engineering Turntables that was also featured in a Clock Work Orange. I have the Focus One which I am super happy to own. Is that a SME 2009 fixed or interchangeable head tonearm? Also what cartridge/stylus do you use?I have an SME fixed with a run of the mill Pearl.

It is an interchangeable head with a XLM mk 2 cartridge .

I just want to extend a big THANK YOU to Spencer for personally helping me get my missing SPM situation sorted out in no time at all. Received my copy today, and I couldn't be happier with shelling out a little extra to get the neon green/pink version from Death Waltz...looks and sounds great!

Now, I'm just gonna sit back and wait for these lovely sub 4 releases to start rolling in...

@Spencer - Is "The Beyond" will have different track list like COTLD, or do you keep the original track order and add some cues at the end of each sides for this one ?
