That’s the exact same type of box my sub copies arrived in yesterday – no dings and in super shape.
Got them today in San Diego...

Hopefully, my subs come in a box like yours (Phil and blue). That was more along the lines of what I expected (at the very least). My Matos came in one like the one posted in the link above. I will just use their same photo for ease.

That poor cardboard sleeve just didn't provide enough protection. Maybe they use one type for multiple LP's and another for single?

One other question for those of you who received their La Matos. Did yours come in shrink? Mine didn't... and I found that odd.

I sell records in UK and have no problem sourcing suitable packaging; I never understand why British sellers use this envelopes which are unsuitable for sending vinyl in. I use these ones which are like the European ones http://www.defendapack.com with a couple of their card stiffeners per package makes it reasonably strong with a packaging cost of about 50p per package (if there are more than 3-4 vinyls I simply tape the packages together). http://www.davpack.co.uk/ now sell one like Amazon mailers which I'm thinking of trying out... I had a packaging company quote me on some immensely strong box mailers and it worked out about £1.30 with a minimum order of 1000, too many for my needs and quite pricey but I can see they would be useful for people who ship a lot of high end stuff.

I have noted that Death Waltz probably have the most expensive shipping for a UK seller but often use those crappy envelopes. No idea why, it seems crazy to put so much attention into a record then sell it short at the last stage.

As for shipping cost its a fact of life that it costs money, if you don't like it don't buy it! I used to buy a lot of records from USA but these days with a 12" costing up to $25 to ship economy its hard to justify unless its something pretty rare (then you take the risk of customs charges!). I buy a lot of stuff from Jamaica these days and it is cheaper to ship than from within the UK...

First off

Le Matos was shipped to us by the band they opened the records to number them , I don't own a shrink wrapper so not much I can do about that.

Secondly when we used Defendpack people still complained about the mailers , there was a time when I mailed things myself but I do not have time to do that so we use Townsend who do D2C shipping for lots of bands labels.
We get the odd package damaged as does ANY mail order service but I am always here to help out if you have a problem.

I could mail them in coffins and they would still get fucked up by the postal service.

If you have an actual problem just drop me or Carlos a line .....

@spencer have tried contacting you twice through website regarding my address, have you had a chance to read it?

A coffin mailer is a good option; that would cut down my burial costs in a few years.

I've mentioned this before, but worth mentioning again. The Royal Mail will not compensate for damaged records if they do not meet the following critera for packaging by the sender. I tried and it was rejected because it was mailed in the example photo on the lovely tablecloth above.

"Records (vinyl discs)

Preparation: Place between thick card and surround with cushioning material at least 2.5cm longer than the item.

Packaging: Wrap in strong paper, seal with tape and clearly mark package RECORDS - DO NOT BEND".

Having said that, always go back to the person who sent it and they will normally send a replacement any how. They are all normally pretty good.

The four records I got from Death Waltz today all had slight corner dents. If it's not possible to get stronger mailers, I think bubble wrap would help a lot.

I'll need that coffin if the wife discovers how much money I spend on records!

Got my subs today. I got mine in the same previously mentioned flimsy cardboard taco packaging. Evidently, b2b subbers are not treated equally when it comes to packaging. With that said, it appears that they arrived undamaged with a quick glance-over. Spencer was right, even the basic version looks lovely. :) I still am envious of the fancy version though. Great job on these releases!! These look top notch. Can't wait to listen to them!! Also liking that you put previews for Big Bad wolves, House of the Devil and Zombie Flesh Eaters on the back!

I'm so so grateful with the b2b versions, my Concorde elektro is happy with them.
Spencer, friends ask me if is there going to be black versions avaliable of future releases like Twin Peaks or BTBR

I got my b2b versions last Friday, they sound sensational! I was surprised to get a poster in each!
It was also nice that they had the standard old fashioned cardboard, the kind that my sleeves fit so well!

COTLD arrived today absolutely mint. Looks and sounds amazing.

Interesting little tidbit in graham Humphreys art notes that the beyond lp will portray the artist or that damn warlock!

Also curious that since mondo released the beyond if it will be limited to uk only... definitely resubbing regardless.

I picked up on that too! So is Graham Humphreys doing the art for The Beyond or is he talking about something he did previously (Did he do the steelbook artwork for Arrow)? That would be amazing news

Is there any way us B2B subbers can find out ahead of time if any upcoming releases are NOT going to be part the the Subscription? I was told the Twin Peaks aren't, and I suppose the Fall Reissues aren't either, but I can only Guess at this point! I don't want to waste precious funds double dipping, and I don't want to miss out on something that I assumed was coming through my Sub!

I'm sure you'll find out when the releases are announced, as the rest of us will. I think it's very safe to assume any reissues would not be part of the current subscription.

Spencer confirmed the 2 Twin Peaks are not part of the sub on Death Waltz's facebook profile, a while ago. Also, the re-issues are not part of the sub, there are more re-issues than there are sub titles left to get. and there are subbers who already have the previous titles so it makes no sense to have re-issues included in the subscription.

the remaing titles from the sub are yet to be announced, from what I know.

Had a small problem with DW. Pre ordered the Slumber Party Massacre LP back in May; got an email confirming order, in stock, shipping soon. After a month or so, I emailed them asking for an update. Reply was that they had no record of my order, even after supplying the order number that they gave me.

Long story short, and after emailing screen shots of my paypal and credit card receipts, and sending reminder emails after getting no response; I received the LP. I am happy with the product, but I think that the customer service could have been more attentive.

I'm not even sure where suggestions/wishlists go ... But good lord, I just watched the creepy sorta-mystery, Picnic at Hanging Rock and this would make one incredible release. This movie is something ... Maybe not horror in the traditional sense but it's definitely something terrifying ... And the score is just fabulous. Completely in line with other DW releases ... Make it happen!
