I'm happy to not bash a good company that is trying their hardest. You generally get a vibe of how things are taking shape. I'm UK based and on the 1st drop day, I waited up til midnight in case I missed out, but yesterday, I was chilled out after 6pm our time thinking 'this won't happen without some kind of warning, I'm happy to trust waxworks'

There's definitely no need for the facebook shit crowd. Its almost like a mob of 500 leaning on glass doors of a closed shops with pitchforks shouting expletives through the door

End of the day, I'm sure this is gonna be a fantastic release, and I'm as psyched as everyone else on here, but at same time, Spencers comments when the silliness was going on on here yesterday rings so very true...

'It's only a piece of bloody plastic', so its never the end of the world...

Peace out

I have been crazy busy the last couple of days at work and have been kind of monitoring what is going on......I am pretty much reserved to the fact that I will hopefully get one of the copies -- The blood filled copy would be super fucking sweet, but I doubt I will be able to type that fast! The FB crowd never changes -- it reminds me of when that Ryan Adams 15 lp live box shut down his site and people went absolutely fucking bonkers...then copies of it showed up on ebay for $1500...the worst part is that people bought them at those prices, so there isn't much you can do about flippers. Half of these fucking FB jerks probably think this is a nu-metal score to the 2009 Friday the 13th remake! Hold tight everyone -- We are a good group here and hopefully, everyone will get what they want -- I totally know that you guys deserve it more than me, with the hours you have been putting in!

I am not even going after the blood filled one. I just want to snag one of the green copies. Sad really seems like this could have been handled smoother. The F5 brigade just brought this on themselves.

Morning all,

given the ridiculous behaviour of, er, the other crowd waiting for this and the insane hype/mustn't miss out mentality at play I suggest we refer to this "drop" as Black Friday the 13th from now on.

I used to work on a technical helpdesk and we used to have a 4hr fix for a server down. This was for stores who would loose thousands of pounds for every minute they were down. Even with that urgency we used to have servers that would be out for days.

Anyone who thinks all waxworks have to do is turn it off and on again fix it is way off mark.

I fully sympathise with WW and ultimately just ordered elsewhere days ago. The limited would be cool but ultimately I'm just stoked by the release I'll take any one of them!

Good luck WW and fuck Facebook!!

I think WW should just create a secret link for the forum members ;-)

I just want a It to listen to And don't care about any blood filled gimmick so I used the 10% off coupon at Sound stage direct and ordered a murky green copy for $24 and change with free shipping.

I do wish these super limited versions would quit so it would weed out the people out for making money only.

I would gladly be a subber to avoid this crap. Even if this drop went smoothly, I just love the convenience and customer care a sub provides. OWS takes such great care of me. I don't feel like I get the same amount of attention from DW, but I am a basic subber and they have more subs over there. I think WW could do an awesome sub package. Despite this snaffu, I am and always will be a loyal purchaser. Am I slightly peeved at this inconvenience, sure. Am I pissed off, nope. Things happen. Order elsewhere or spin some other stuff while you wait for the fix. The only thing I would have appreciated is at some point yesterday they could have said "sorry kiddies, no candy today" :/ Other than that, they are still good in my book.

I'll admit that I like super limiteds "just because" - a holdover from small press horror books, I suppose. I know things will be up eventually, WW doesn't want to NOT sell records, right?

I'll also add to the chorus of subscription hopes. The OWS one has been great, just for the ease of it all.

I don't know I buy vinyl since I'm a kid, I've talk with many vinyl junkie friends about all this craziness with soundtrack reissues, mostly about how fast editions are selling out, some Mondo, Godzilla, COTLD, etc. It's interesting some real music guys see all this as a very geek freaky thing. I think the reason are all those fucking geek gnomes in internet (I think I hate fucking internet) who have bought maybe two records in the last 3 years and complain about records released by INDY LABELS, I N D Y L A B E L S yes, who fight for the music score rights, who work with cool artists and try to make their records sound like heaven, these geek guys in internet complaining about silly things like "the jacket doesn't weight too much", "I've seen this split colour so many times". Die complaining in front of your computers while mummy makes the dinner.
Music matters, support it! or GO!
Love.

Deathwaltz motto sums it up well: the art of soundtracks. I love the niche and am glad to see the growth.

Agreed,

I've been an OST and Score guy for years before i ever picked up any other music. And it was almost always horror. as far as i'm concerned, All my favorite things are converging into the soundtrack boom, so let's keep it going.

Yeah I seriously can't believe the things people say on the waxwork Facebook page... It's disgusting to me, really. Ridiculous. I feel weird that I hope those people don't find this forum, haha. Never thought I'd want people to NOT find a cool forum like this, but....

I'm as happy as a pig in muck with the deluge of soundtrack issues and reissues that we're wallowing in these days. The party will probably end some day so make the most of it while it's in full swing.

Regarding the blood-filled variant, it's probbaly something that nobody would want to play very much but it sounds cool (wish I could see one though to decide if I actually want it) but it's human nature to want what you don't or can't have and so a lot of people want it just because it's limited even if they have no intention of flipping it. The flippers are just preying on this and can basically go fuck themselves.

I'm definitely buying some version of this release (two if I luck out on the gimmick one) and will enjoy giving it a spin anyhow. I am just hoping waxwork haven't done a third man and forgotten the music in the pursuit of the gimmick.

I like being over here with the non-gripey folks. I'll happily send each of you a few bucks to buy yourselves a beer after all of this is done to enjoy while we listen to some new tunes.

I would be all over a sub too as I've liked or loved every waxwork release so far and am very excited by the stuff we know is the pipeline. I hate all the nonsense around "drops" and love having a reasonable copy of everything locked in and no stress. I love DW and OWS for the releases but almost as much for the subs. Some (facebook) people probably view them as elitist or something but I don't really care about the upfront cost and it's got to help with a label's cashflow.

Good call Ben, I never thought about subbers helping with upfront costs.
