OK, so TCM has and will likely be my unattainable grail for soundtracks.
I've wanted the soundtrack for well over 20 years in some kind of decent, 'official' offering. I've occasionally sent e-mails and other correspondences to parties that may have an interest in releasing the soundtrack all to no avail. I've been told that the original masters have long since disappeared into the hot, dusty wastelands of Texas, only to whispered and hinted upon by gypsies in roadside caravans in towns that missed the interstates.
So after all these years, I was thrilled to hear that there would be a recording, even if it were a re-recording of the soundtrack.
Unfortunately, as man of you know, this is limited to only 800. I of course will be no where near either of the events where you'll be able to pick up a copy.
So Spencer, will there be any reissue down the road? I don't want or need anything fancy, such as blood filled chainsaw shaped vinyl, split spattered blood on real Texas dirt vinyl, coffin cooler white with blood splatter, wheelchair shaped vinyl on real chainsaw metal, etc. Just plain ol' black vinyl that just comes in a paper bag will due.
