Funny! Especially since I met Jim Wynorski last weekend and he went out of his way to say how much he hated the cover art. He wanted killbots...

I was thinking it might be good to post an FAQ of sorts on the WW threads page, or here, addressing some common concerns that we all end up responding to in turns anyway. Like, when I got antsy about not getting a shipping notification, or almost everyone worries about not getting a confirmation from WW right away. If someone I recognized had said, "Sometimes there isn't a shipping notification," I would have accepted that, just as I expect people to accept there is often a multi-week delay in WW order confirmation when you use PayPal. I don't know, maybe we could nip some of the inevitable tension in the bud.
Ideas:
1. The presale launch times have always been the same--never random. Stop saying it's always random, you ignorant newcomers.
2. The receipt/confirmation/shipping notice thing.
3. No one really controls the Internet, so get over your personal schedule or get over the impending drop. Delay is a thing. How's your insurance claim going?
4. The least unique-looking colorway is the retail version; anything else will likely only be available direct.
5. Fancy records are kind of expensive, it's true. And shipping also costs money.
6. Suspected flippers are tracked, and we will eventually kill your families and raid your homes of valuables.

:) The sixth from your F.A.Q fits perfectly with what I listen now Electric Wizard and their Black Mass vinyl :)

So i just recently found this site, hence i just discovered Waxwork Records. So as far as point #1 goes what time will Trick r Treat go onsale on Tuesday?

I do not know when Trick 'r Treat will go on sale, and I don't want to be the dick that quotes an hour a couple of days before the launch. Make a mental note of the time when it happens, or read through the various threads where participants have waited out each drop. That being said, you have about 48 hours.

I hear where your coming from. I'll just keep checking like with Mondo releases.

Still on the fence about Trick 'r Treat. The set looks super nice (as I've come to expect from Waxwork) and I do enjoy the movie, but not sure how often I would listen to the music. Tough call!

Hey guys, we want to address today's pre-order. We understand that many customers experienced numerous issues including timeouts, issues with the shopping cart, and the inconvenience of waiting for hours to complete their order. We're terribly sorry for this. After the Friday the 13th crash back in August, we decided to reevaluate how we operate our website, and how pre orders are handled. We immediately hopped onto managed hosting and started running the site on numerous massive servers that we anticipated could handle the huge amount of traffic our website gets.
Waxwork is run by three people, and we're not web savvy by any means. While the technical side of the shopping experience is out of our hands, we take full responsibility for anything not working 100% smoothly, and we are taking all the necessary steps to ensure future releases don't suffer the same glitches.
We're sincerely sorry for any inconvenience experienced today while placing an order with us. We genuinely appreciate all of your support as we grow.

Hang in there, Waxwork.

Just keep trying to improve the buying process for the next release. That's all you can do. All of your releases have been top notch and I look forward to what's next.

Managed hosting should be the way to go, I think I even suggested it on here after the F13 fiasco. It should be relatively simple to pull the logs and see what needs beefing up next time.

Has anyone had a problem with getting an email reply?

I must have sent 3 in the past fortnight & even with the chaos of TrT I figured someone would have replied.

Not I. I emailed them the day of the launch with a question, and they got back to me within roughly 24 hours or so. Pretty nice seeing as they have probably been overrun this week with the website issues and all the orders, probably tons of mean emails, etc.

I really do like WW a lot - I think it's a great label, and will absolutely continue to support them.

Heard back from Suzy & once again she & they have been so helpful it's insane.

I understand how frustrating it can be on both ends of the record buying experience but Waxwork have once again been super.

If you have sent us an email, we are working on getting everyone sorted out and replied to ASAP. We've been flooded with emails. Like, literally hundreds of them. Just want to let everyone know we're on top of it.

It's refreshing coming here and seeing the positive comments. The hate mail in our inbox and the comments on FB are pretty staggering.

We're not big message board participators, so apologies for any silence on here on our behalf. But, we will continue to use the Blackest Circles board as a platform to let the users here know about releases and pre-order drops before posting elsewhere.

Back to shipping out these Trick 'r Treat records! They're HEAVY.
