oh, can't remember if i posted this new arrival yet, but it looks and sounds pretty great. i wouldn't call this "meth blue", as it is kinda cloudy - walter would never have stood for that - i was hoping for more of a crystal clear blue translucent.

Spun out of control: I think you might regret getting the Amo No Amo with screen printed cover. The vinyl sounds quite bad. When I contacted BTF they acknowledged this (pointing out that this was to be expected from this sort of colored vinyl, and that it was more of a novelty thing. Hmm). Luckily, they send me a black free of charge which sounds great.

Didn't notice anything untoward about the Amo No Amo on the first spin... will listen more intently on the 2nd!

This was why I avoided the blood splatter of Profondo Rosso, as I had read elsewhere that while a cool gimmick, it sounded bad (that and the usually cool BTF was asking a huge 66 Euros!)

I'm a huge Quantic fan (awesome live show, go if you get the chance!), sounds like I need that Chef soundtrack but have never heard of it. Are there multiple versions? I found one that says it is white vinyl- is that the one to get? Cheers

was really lucky to find some deleted Trunk's at $15 a pop. all unplayed or sealed. got 13 in total, this is an excerpt. was a busy weekend:

didn't even have the time to listen to all of them. about 8 of them to go still...

@milliondollars - Wow that's impressive. Amazing haul and for $15! Some of these dont go for less than $60 used. Ebay or store? I am a trunk fanatic and have everything incl all variants, t-shirts, tea towel (!) etc etc (the only label I do this with).

I'm impressed with the love for Chef. I thought it might be considered "not a proper soundtrack" as it's just a compilation. While the suns still out (here in Essex anyway) this has been getting plenty of spins. I love the brass version of Sexual Healing and as far as I've been able to ascertain this is the only time it's been available on vinyl.

@Oiche: i got really lucky with these, no store nor ebay. like you said, some of these go for far more than $15. these came from a private seller. he bought every release twice when they dropped and he wanted to get rid of them.
i am obsessed with Trunk too but am missing a few still. Johny Trunk rules!

so much love has been put into every single release.

if you have every Trunk record you are a real fanatic! i'm a little jealous

what i was always asking myself is if the discogrpahy on discogs is complete? do you have anything else that is not listed? i listed the yellow variant of Moondog only recenlty. would like to know what else is missing...

@milliondollars - No, as far as I can tell the rest are on there (and well done for spotting that one as I hadn't even though I have the variant!). There are only a handful of trunk vinyl releases with variants thankfully, Jeff Keen's Noise Art being the worst at 7 vinyl releases with different coloured vinyl & covers. If you are collecting all of these, be warned that the pink vinyl is listed as a single release of 200 but there were two different pink covers with 100 each so really they ought to be separate.

the Noise Art is probably the only one where I have to pass on having all variants. it is really painful to pay so much money for one release. and nowadays they go for mad loot too...

WHAT IS THAT! wow i didn't know T2 was getting reissue, that one passed me right by. I was able to get the 7" RSD piece off the bay, but i had no idea they were doing the full thing. I'm in the US so a lot of UK only releases just go right past me. How's it sound?

I have been in this business a long time. Now if I don't want to do a show, it's not because I got stage fright. It's because some creature from beyond doesn't want me to do the show. Now gangway.

@hatter, Silva Screen records, the same that did Batman Returns and probably the 7", released this. You can order it from the likes of Acoustic Sounds, Elusive disc, SoundStageDirect, or Amazon and will run $40-$50 depending on where you get it. I wont be able to spin it till the weekend but will post when I do on the now spinning thread.
