@darrell, you can also try Soundstage direct, Acoustic Sounds, or Elusive Discs. I got mine at Soundstage during a 10% off sale, $40 with free shipping.
shaun of the dead, 2001, and iron giant are fine prices (although $110 for the metal variant - sheesh!). but 76 for looper? that was the least exciting one for me personally.
Yeah, I wasn't too into the music of Looper either, so that was a pretty easy pass. I noticed a ton of them being purchased at MondoCon yesterday though.
Looper is getting a non-Mondocon release through their store in October, @Tony. My guess is it'll be a reasonably priced "standard" edition, perhaps without the 7"?
Best of luck with that man....here's the Looper/other Mondo dates/info:
"Nathan Johnson’s Looper score is also getting released, and it’s coming packaged with a limited edition 7″ featuring “Slinky Dance” from Kid Koala (released in full for the first time) backed by a piano version of the movie theme performed by Johnson. Jay Shaw designed the packaging. It’s an embossed, gold foil gatefold jacket that’s packed in a hand-embellished canvas bag. It’s out online on September 23."
So looks like it's released this Monday, after Mondocon is done n dusted!
Also, online release dates for other MC releases:
- 2001: In November, in an edition of 2001 copies!
- Sean: October 7th
@disco - Ahhh man now I see why they're making it so expensive.
At this point though I doubt I could afford the regular version & it'll sell out probably.
I am yes back at school, working towards getting my degree in nursing.
Gonna take a little bit but something I've always wanted to do
Sounds good bro. One of my best friends qualified as a midwife this week, and my mum's a nurse. Hardest working people in showbizz, frankly, but they have tonns of passion for it
All the best with the studies Tony! I trained as a nurse years ago, then became a chef and now am an OT. I just couldn't stay away! Starting a masters in health research in a few weeks so will share your pain bro.
