I have to say, I rarely buy stuff and then immediately decide to let it go, but after a few listens I'm finding this to be pretty excruciating. My own stupid fault really - I only listened to the title track in advance (which in itself becomes quite maddening after a few different arrangements across the score!) and the rest of it is really godawful - the very thin end of the Fulci wedge for me I'm afraid. This should have been a 10"!
I was also suckered by the artwork frankly, which is easily the best WBYK that I've seen (I'm not a huge fan of their style usually...) Who knows, maybe I'll find summat to love in here.

I'm filing this under soundtracks - it's flipping amazing! As the sticker informs, it's a french concept LP from 1979 that is based around Dune. Sounds like that-era Tangerine Dream, which is just great by me. Lovely silver embossed sleeve too, nice work InFine Records!

Can't stop playing this! Which is a good thing, because the first couple of spins were less than impressive - tonns of persistent crackle throughout, but it's calming down thankfully. Sound quality is good, and as you'd expect considering the sources were apparently various editions of the film (including tape!!) I'm all for this sort of "we want to release this even though there are no masters" kind of project, I dig the lo-fi-ness and it certainly befits the film itself - one of the great grubby punk splatter flicks of all time, with something to offend all!
Good spinning y'all - I'mma gonna be watching Mondo for the Looper drop today,and see if it's any less insanely priced that the MondoCon exclusive :O
