I'm bummed I can't make it to mondocon either, but, in the words of a semi-well-known rock band: "you can't always get what you want". :)

Guys, we're talking about a DW Original release, I mean, Spencer will release as many copies and variants we'll need, you should know that! I'm also pretty sure that he will organize something big in the future here in Europe/UK like this well known american conventions! Just be patient and keep supporting, these guys are working for us! ;)

I wonder if MondoCon attendees who are Death Waltz subbers will have early access to tickets. (hint, hint...)

I go to California for a couple days and everything goes to shit....next thing that is going to happen is that maybe DW is going to start releasing only glow in the dark variants to everyone on this forum. Then maybe there will be a locked groove on every release of Barbara Streisand's finest work on Yentil. What outrage that a new label would want to do something special and the whole world wasn't invited. People need to relax and ask themselves when the last time they were let down by Spencer or DW -- time and time again, they have proven they care about their fans -- as Layne said -- it is just a variant....I have (thanks to ben as of today!) every sub variant of DW -- but I know the day will come when I can't get them all -- just be fucking happy that DW is kicking ass -- it means that the releases will get better and that we WILL GET MORE RECORDS. Stop acting like fucking spoiled brats. I do love you all though.

I love maiovvi and umberto. I really love these tracks. Do I think they fit well with texas chainsaw massacre... no.

And I'm not worried about obtaining a copy.. DW is good about that.

That is all.

I wasn't aware you'd seen the finished re-score ;)

Believe me the re score works. We've screened it for a handful of folks and everyone loves it...

"This bootleg edition is exclusive for the screenings." -- Hmmm...ease up ya fruits! Bunch a goddamn crybabies!

Did you say "Yentil" AND GITHD variant in the same sentence? OH. MY. GOD! So stoked!

...with that Spencer you are forgiven!

Excellent first project, Death Waltz. I think the tracks sound great, and I look forward to hearing this even though I can't make it to either festival.

The re-score is fucking brilliant. BRILLIANT. I was elated to be see the event and I couldn't be more proud of Antoni Maiovvi and Umberto, I think the re-score really enhanced the film. It's my favorite film, especially since I'm from Texas, and holy shit I want a Blu-Ray copy of the film with this score. It's unbelievably fantastic and I can tell you that you Beyond Fest guys are in for a treat.

Is this rescore really worth $56? I'm not trying to be a smart ass...that is just a lot of money for one album, and especially a lot for something I've not had a chance to sample. Anyone able to vouch for it?

My fear from anyone that attended is that you'll all say it's great because you enjoyed the full experience of the performance and the film...but would the music as a stand-alone listen be worth that much money?

@ghostfires, I've only experienced the music by itself. I was unable to go to the screening. And I absolutely love this as a stand-alone album.
