it's not, but I've bought stuff off their bandcamp before and it wasn't bad at all. Vampyr i bought from Spencer, but i picked up some of their other albums direct from them and i don't think shipping was too bad from Europe to NY anyway.

I'm currently in the same boat as pretty much everyone else when it comes to shipping.

If they're still available when the represses go up for sale I'll absolutely grab The Equestrian Vortex (which I was utterly flummoxed by on first listen, but is growing on me) and Vampyr. They're just not essential enough for me to justify having them shipped separately, and I doubt Vampyr will be around for long.

To be honest though, I don't know what the solution would be. Either keep some releases and distributed titles back to drop them all at the same time, or allow subbers to buy things with the intention of having them added to their next sub package at a reduced shipping rate (which I imagine would be a logistical nightmare). Shipping costs suck, and I can't imagine they'll get any better now the tories have sold off the Royal Mail.

EDIT: Just realised the shipping moans I'm referring to are all in the HOTD thread. Oh well, suppose this is a better place for the topic.

Was discussing this very point on the House of the Devil thread last night as the drip-feed of titles & separate shipping is a killer...

DW has yet to respond, but I was wondering whether some code could be provided at purchase that says 'order something else from us within 7 days and get 50% (or whatever) off the shipping cost.' Next time you order you type in the time-limited code and it's sorted.

DW aren't super fast to ship in my experience and I have three separate orders stacked up over the past week.

Just one idea.

Unfortunately the Vampyr record is available on the Kalligrammofon bandcamp right now, BUT after currency conversion and shipping - it comes to $44.41! That's just too much for me. Very unfortunate that these cool albums aren't seeing any state-side distribution. I'm fairly surprised LITA hasn't been able to pick up some.

About par for the course to import an LP unfortunately. Cost me €47.50 to get a copy of Vampyr (about $60) after I made an offer on a Discogs listing. I don't think LITA will get any for US distro since this is an independent/bandcamp release with pressing @ 300 units. It's a pretty cool vinyl but you can get a download I think instead for a lot less.

DWR offered the opportunity to have TCM added to the sub package, so there would be no shipping charges, which was a first for DWR (OWS does it all the time), but I hope not the last time.

Honestly, and I know I've been hammering this home. Buy it, you will not regret the extra dough if you can spare it. It's just a very special record. i know that sounds bizarre and kind of sappy, but it truly is one of the best blind buys I ever made.

Yes...fair play to DW on that, subbers were given first dibs to buy the TCM disc and with the option to combine it with the latest sub4 pack, for no additional postal charges. A nice little touch imo. Would be great to see a few more combined shipping options 'going forward' though, but only if it is workable for everyone of course.

One of the few times I have placed an order with DW. When they first put Vampyr up I was able to get it for just under $40, that included shipping to the US. To me that was reasonable for a double LP so I did it. On the other hand TCM was close to $60 and I passed. Kinda regretting it now but at the time I felt it was too much.

I'm glad it was given the option to deluxe subbers, but I am a basic subber and I still want that damn record. LOL. I am seriously considering dropping cash on this thing. So far I have convinced myself not to spend $100 on TCM, but it is getting harder and harder not to do...

You had to use Chrome or IE I think. some browser were not showing the buttons to select the 0$ shipping after you had entered the code. your problem was a browser issue

I used Chrome, failed. Tried Firefox, failed again. Chrome again, same result. Bought it anyway. Water under the bridge now. I'll just email them and I'm sure they'll set it right.

$80's not that bad all things considered. i think it came to about $60 from DW. from the samples i heard and the way people are talking about, totally sounds worth it. can't wait to get mine!
