Yup - something to do with waiting for extra packaging to turn up. Weird. Ah well, no matter anyway as it's on the way and I have a postcard from the mail this morning telling me that I have 3 parcels waiting for me to collect (which is their bloody fault for not delivering anything until 2pm and wondering why nobody's in). If they're the 3 I think they are, I'm going to be one happy bunny tomorrow...

I'm frankly amazed that there's been all this interest and clamoring for the lp and nobody has yet commented on the actual music! Well, I'd just like to say.....it's absolutely beautiful. Breathtaking in parts, and well worth getting hold of if you're into very sombre , heavy, mournful film scores (in parts it reminded me of Nic Roeg for some reason, and also Angels of the Universe...) Huge floppy wide-brimmed civil-war hats off to Jim Williams et al.

To be honest - talking about music seems to be a secondary interest to owning as many colour variations of modern reissues of soundtracks quite often available for less in their original version..... just saying! Collecting objects rather than experiences....

Yes - that was a great write up!... and I enjoyed the rest of the blog too. I love this soundtrack - fascinated by the approach of the acoustic music in using folk motifs and instrumentation that are never too tied up in worthy 'authenticity', but do successfully take you back to a pre-scientific time.
