Rumors are it is not a vinyl release. mp3 128 kbs files packed in a special case (native girl figure impaled by a usb storage stick that contains the mp3s).

Lol @ turtle death picture disc. That would be fucking unsettling to say the least, and I am not sure I could even stand to watch such a thing spin in circles. /barfs

Since it's a DW/OWS combo release, I am guessing (hoping) there will be at least 1,000 copies pressed in some way, shape, or form... and, of course, the twenty-two copies of the turtle-blood-filled vinyl deluxe edition.

Back in the mid 80s I used to work for a certain East Anglian record shop chain which at the time was dabbling in video rental and stocked some of the nasties. When it all exploded in the press the dodgy stuff got pulled from the shelves and I ended up with copies of Driller Killer and Cannibal Holocaust - the former is comedy but I've got to admit that I was totally grossed out by CH (no memory of the soundtrack). I ended up giving it to an American friend who was into extreme war gore - even he thought it was a bit much!!

The first time I viewed Cannibal Holocaust was at a 35mm midnight screening with a theater full of demented weirdos just like myself. The soundtrack felt both serene and out-of-place at the same time, and it has always stuck with me (my brain can almost hum those melodies). The film itself feels like an exercise in both disgust and wonderment.

One of the best worst/quotes I have heard related to this film is, "That turtle had it coming!"
