Excellent! I'm really digging that TTM LP. Although those other options will likely be similar price to DW, that'll give me time save up my shekels. I'm record poor at the moment.

@thedeepness, thanks for this! CCMusic had plenty I wanted but I ended up just pre-ordering both volumes of Season 1 Hannibal (they didn't have season 2) for under $60 total. Each came to $24 after the discounts and shipping was another $9. Can't beat that!

Just a general musing about @deathwaltz in general; I'm a long time record collector but still relatively new to the soundtrack collecting (about 2 years now) but it was Death Waltz's release of Donnie Darko that got me into it and gave me the bug. Since then I've slowly increased my soundtrack buying/hunting to include the other current labels out there (Waxwork, One Way Static, Mondo, etc) but Death Waltz remains the leader of the pack in my mind. Great subscription packages, solid customer service, amazing releases with great attention to detail. All of which can be difficult in times like these with the surging popularity of vinyl leading to significant issues at pressing plants with delays and occasional defects and Death Waltz has stayed strong through it all and have managed to grow significantly as well which is always good to see. When they announced the Mondo merger I was skeptical since hearing the words "buy out" is never really good but I'm optimistic that everyone involved knows what they're doing. My one hope is that Spencer will be able to create more widespread distribution for Mondo releases to be available to indie retailers through Light in the Attic or other sources like the other labels are. Ok, that's all I got.

@DarksideBert

On the flip side of the coin, in an ideal world (doesn't exist I know) would be great to be able to source Mondo titles in the UK without having to pay an identical amount to ship the record here as to what the record actually costs ($25 etc). Or inflated import prices. Not just Mondo though, I know, so this is not a specific issue, is the same with Waxwork & basically any record we choose to 'collect' from abroad etc.

Now DW and Mondo are 'the same' however, I wonder if this situation might change at some point down the line..?

Know OWS has done a great job in carrying various key US releases for us Euro types. We're talking 'ideal world' here though (and, granted, there is always the vinyl buddy idea via this thread), so just throwing out the suggestion

@Spun, the problem will be the trend to ignore exchange rates. $25 + $18 shipping = $43 = £27 but it will be £25 + £5 shipping = £30. Apple are very good at it!!

Hopefully with the DW/Mondo merger they will be able to ship to the UK in bulk and reduce the cost. Invada do an excellent job for Milan, prices are always decent, so its highly likely DW will be able to do the same.

Ha - know what you mean re: Apple - other electronics giants are pretty good at that too.

The Invada and Milan release tie up is a good example of a partnership working well (though it only seems to be certain cherry picked releases).

Of course we have the proposed OWS + DW + Mondo release tie up happening for Cannibal Holocaust which is a wise move. Perhaps that's the way things may go in future with Spencer at the helm as you say? The Gravity and 2001 drop today had me thinking on this subject.... ;)

Is anybody else not liking the 'low on stock' red banners on the DW website - think I preferred the exact numbers myself

I've not seen any mention yet on this board about the Witches from DW and Unbox! Anyone else fallin' in love with those things?! I want a set SO damn bad...I just cannot afford $180 for a set right now.

Any chance at all some of these could see distribution stateside? Or are these just super limited and exclusive, and I need to just get over them now?

^^^ They're cool. I don't really collect vinyl toys and stuff like that, but these sculpts are beautiful and the casting material looks really unique… they look like candles!

yeah not really a toy collector either but these are cool..fun package idea. Each time I visit this place there is something tempting to buy. This website really knows how to destroy a brother!

Seen these via DW tweets and FB but, alas, I cannot afford and the wife will, at best, kill me ;-)

These are cool, but thankfully not something I will buy. Comics and records are enough for me!

I should clarify - I don't buy toys at all, I've never ever even considered spending that much money on a toy or toys...but these witches...they're just such an incredible stand out to me, I feel like I have to have them! I just cannot justify $180 for somethkng to just sit on my desk. I would probably pay $100 for them, but getting to nearly $200 to get them here to the U.S. is just way too much. Such a shame too - I reeeeally love them!

I know what u mean ghodtfires. They are stunning. Was thinking of buying them but when i saw the price the decision was easy. Way to much for something standing on your desk and another little thing you have to clean all the time :-)

I seem to be the only one prepared to stand up and say what a pile of $150 junk those "Witches" are. Its horrid looking tat that isn't anything to do with records. This is what being taken over by Mondo means I guess...

Another bit of bitching about DW, I noticed that they have a "DEATH WALTZ EXCLUSIVE CLEAR & PINK VINYL LTD TO A 150 ONE OFF PRESSING" of Slasher Film Festival Strategy; somewhat misleading as http://www.foreignsounds.com/ have 250 black and 250 black/red being issued. Same as the recent Tired Tape Machine which was "We only have 50 copies of this record and when it’s gone it’s gone" which has since turned up for preorder on other sites (cheaper and with cheaper postage). Both these records are nice but I dislike the constant narrative the DW are the only ones selling a tiny pressing of it which turns out to be patently untrue a few days later. Most of us here have been flipped multiple times so it preys on our worry that if we don't get this one we'll be fleeced for it on Discogs or eBay next week.

I'm also listening to SFFS's Crimson Throne on Foreign Sounds website and that sounds awesome too, not been able to turn up anywhere selling it in UK yet...

I think they're really cool. They might not be your thing but for me they're beautifully detailed works of art.

I've collected toys longer than I've collected records ... It's a dream come true to be able to do stuff like this ... I'm sorry they don't fit in with your idea of cool ...

no wonder I don't want to participate here anymore...
We have a version that is ltd to a one off pressing of 150 ... So I'm not sure what your problem is exactly .. It is what it is .. A one off pressing for DW
