Well, after dilligently listening through the whole of the Turkey Shoot OST samples, sadly ave to report that I definitely pass. Highly repetitive and pretty dull stand-alone listen! I guess you have to have the movie-fondness thing going on for this one, cuz for the life of me I couldn't ever imagine sitting through that again. Quite like the addition of sparse percussion, but that's about it - no memorable themes, plenty of film dialogue and the same-key farting 80s synth-drone across most of the tracks.
This is really getting to the thin end of the wedge with these exploitation releases....of course, not having unlimited cash means having to get much pickier...still, I'd love to hear an impassioned defence for this one as anything but a fetish object! I generally am really down with what Dual Planet are putting out however, especially the Libaek reissues which are glorious on every level. This one just aint for me.
