@MODAREC - Danke! Yeah, it's looking like Republic will be distro'ing our stuff over there although the contract is not signed yet. I dig what they do though.

If there's any sort of demand and enough conversation about T.V. a sub-forum would be cool. I know that the titles I'm most interested in releasing aren't the most popular ones though so I have zero expectations. I really just started this new company to have some fun again. Graveface is the great destroyer of my hopes and dreams. :)

If ROM do distro in the UK you can be sure I'll be stocking these.

That's a killer line up @terrorvision :)

Ever since Only Lovers Left Alive anything by Jozef Van Wissem is an auto-purchase.

Old posts have disappeared?!? What's happening???

@Hoodini - Thanks! I figured that would throw a few people off as it's hard to communicate succinctly. Basically the $200 is with domestic shipping included. Shipping a 2lb package MM domestically + the mailer & cardboard squares is right around $5 per shipment with a total of 6 shipments ($30 total in shipping). So the membership is essentially $170 raw for 7 releases (6 full length LPs + 1 lathe + tee/slip mat etc + test). Every time we ship one 2lb package to the UK, for example, it's $21.74. So after that $30 is spent (the included domestic shipping loot) we will bill you actual shipping costs. I don't do this for my Graveface Record Club and it has virtually destroyed the club as a whole as we're at 45% international membership.

http://www.graveface.com/graveface-record-club.html

Someone internationally signs up for 10 Graveface releases at a fixed price ($240) and even if we have to ship them out one at a time, it's essentially on our dime. 10 shipments of vinyl to the UK (assuming I'm shipping individually of course) ends up being $214. Meaning the customer is paying $26 for the membership. And yes, I know I'm an idiot for setting it up that way. But I had no fucking clue what I was doing when I started it. I try and group shipments together when possible but sometimes that's not how the cards fall. Especially with pressing plants being as fickle as they are now. I'm slowly changing it to actually be something that can recoup for me. Kind of the story of Graveface in general really.

How confusing did I make that? Haha.

Partir to Live, a non-narrative feature film he made in 2012 that has screened at film festivals all over the world. We’re issuing the soundtrack, composed and recorded by Garcia-Huidobro and the virtuoso lute player Jozef van Wissem, in a bundle with a DVD of the film.

3 new pre-orders up at Sacred Bones including a deluxe OST with Jozef van Wissem.

That's okay...most of 'em are just people whining about shipping costs and delays and they got the wrong pretty blue vinyl and sound quality, blah, blah, blah...the usual.

I was trying to remove a post I made because I intended it to be a reply and accidentally hit the wrong button

It usually will ask you to confirm if you want to or not, but it didn't. It was weird cause it didn't trash the whole thread, it should have.

*Update*

Well that took a long time :)

Every single post was restored, had to do each one individually. They weren't deleted just hidden. Anyway their all back now.

^^^ Haha, pretty much spot on! But yeah, I wonder what happened?

Although, thanks to the 20 odd pages disappearing I was able to find a couple of releases I never heard before, the We Release Whatever the Fuck We Want soundtracks on the previous oage are fucking awesome, just grabbed Interdite and Reserviste, no idea about the films, but the music is fucking cool as!

Except they weren't that all. This thread is full of useful information put forth by thoughtful board members engaged in bettering the place. This isn't the Mondo thread. Hopefully the pages can be restored.

@Cult, nice one on that Van Wissem sounds great. I would urge people to also check out his recent album Nihil Obstat too, as well as Only Lovers…
