Hey @spun where did you order your Duke of Burgundy from? I ordered direct from Cats Eyes and didn't get a print... It's no biggy, it's just that I've seen a few other people's copies all with prints. However, I'm really enjoying it, it's quite sublime. Looking forward to seeing the film. Just need to find a theatre showing it!

Hi chaps - yes it was indeed Recordstore.co.uk that had the limited signed print (may still have)

Cool the way Faris has signed his name to blend in with the eyelash.

It's mellow stuff that washed over me pleasantly enough on first listen... hopefully subsequent spins may reveal subtle layers of darkness

@Spun, That Morricone comp is fantastic, picked it up right around the time Spencer sent out Lizard in a woman's skin, which has some presence on that CD. wish it had been on wax, but what a great selection of his more obscure works.

Been wanting this baby for some time. Beautiful soundtrack and pressing. Also check the sleevenotes, seems like this previously unreleased ost game has been around for some time.

@Spun: Cool! I need that "Duke" vinyl! How's the music?

Here's finally the "Red Queen":

The music...WOW! One of the best Nicolai for sure! ;)

@max ... will need to give 'The Duke..' another couple of listens for the music to sink in.

I also have the Nicolai on order (via Norman). I already have the Digitmovies CD so know that it sounds superb. Must be one of the best giallo soundtracks. Another obscure movie I need to watch! :)

Thanks to the STBC-Filmclub:

The seller said it is VG+, but in real it is more Good/Worn.

@Hatter313

That's good to know... bid on it via eBay on a whim reckoning it must be a good listen - it's quite diverse with some more experimental/ominous 'piano falling slowly down the stairs' moments and makes a good complement to another 3x CD Mondo Morricone comp I have that has the more poppier moments from the same giallo period

@Occhionero

Zombie shark nibbled edition..? Got mine via Discogs - a blind buy acting on good faith. Think I paid around £12 in total from Italy for a marginally worn cover but pristine/mint looking and sounding vinyl.

@max @Spun - nice! I have a copy of the "Red Queen" vinyl on the way from LitA. I have been listening to the Orgasmo Sonore covers quite often lately. Excited to give the full album a listen.

wow, nice score @Dollarhyde!

The Cometa zines/catalogs that came with the Violence! box were a similarly cool read.

[/quote] Sorry if I'm being thick, Spun, but are you saying you've a triple CD of Mondo Morricone? Also, I love Patton's endorsement on the cover of Crime and Dissonance: "Essential." No shit, Mike? Nice of you to say. I mean it's only out on your own label. I love it.

@Mateo - yes I have a triple CD box of the Morricone (Vol 1, 2 and 3) - could only seem to find them listed individually on Discogs for the provided link though, perhaps it is I who is being dunder-headed :)

Though the CDs are irritatingly out of print, it's certainly worth seeking out if you like that 'sort of thing'.

EDIT: Here's a pic for ya...

Thanks, Spun. I didn't realize there were three editions. Cheers.
