A few 7" from our trip to Japan last week.

Yeah, I was surprised to pick it up for a two digit price. Although the record arrived from Japan in pretty much no more than a jiffy bag!! thankfully unsnapped.

It seems like alot of Morricone's stuff became collectable in the late 70's early 80's. There's also all the RCA intermezzo and Cerberus reissues from that time too.

I have that Violence box set on order, looking forward to it :)

@spencer... you weren't kidding!

Which record stores over there stood out for you, out of interest? I get back there about once a year - so would value your opinion...

Will say one thing for the Japanese: they do look after their collectables... no dog-eared copies shown above. ;)

I'll make a list and rate them !

Yes one thing i will say is that used record shopping is crazy , I was picking out records that were 30 years old and they looked brand new, I have never seen that anywhere else else, in fact the only time we saw things a worn was on the side of the street where someone was selling records for 100 Yen (0.54 pence) these had seam splits etc ...

Wow, some amazing stuff above! I dont know why but records always look so much better and more collectible with Japanese writing all over them. Agree with condition too. Buying from online JP shops, they always knock them down a grade as compared with average discogs. Bought one as 'scratched' and took me a good few minutes to spot what he was on about.

still upset about their New York show getting cancelled last year, what a bummer. it was going to be Zombi, and the opening acts were all over the place nuts.

anybody know about US distro for that box set, or are they all off of that self distribute site he posted?

i have the batalion, that is one of my favorite record covers, been looking for the LP for a bit.
japanese 7's are fun to collect but it seems like every LP has an equal single out there.

that lone wolf & cub is fantastic too.
ogon bat. all nice scores

oh...also

@Spencer,

HOLY CRAP what a beautiful haul, that Dokken dream warriors 7" alone has my heart all a'flutter.

The next time i get over to the UK, i will definitely have to head to Margate and check out the new venture, if you ever have need of a NY based Advertising professional...:) :) ;)

@Spun Should be a good evening saw them live a couple of times last year, well worth it. Claudio's Goblin! This package is great for just over £30, not the same quality of sleeve we've all become accustomed to but the music sounds great especially Profondo Rosso. Off topic I wonder if anyone on here made it to the O2 to see Morricone? A bit gutted to have missed that 12,500 people there apparently!

Hatter, Dream Warriors stood out to me last night. On a complete whim I cranked that song last night for last call at the Tavern. I hadn't heard it in years.
