On initial spin my thoughts are pretty much as above - it's not as immediate as The Advisory Circle or as warm/nostalgic as the likes of 52, but has identifiable elements of both. If you like Jon Brooks you are hardly going to dislike it - but perhaps not as essential as the two LPs I've mentioned.

I have no memory of ordering this and am assuming it's something I saw posted here.

Really throwback synths, kind of like a cheesier Com Truise sound with a Chromeo-esque instrumental feel at times.

Yeah, I posted about this one a couple months ago and it sold out pretty quick. Mine arrived yesterday. It's a great piece of modern funk! This is what you cruise around town listening to with the windows down when the weather's nice out. :)

A pleasant listen that captures the inquisitive and light-hearted attitude of elephants; the instrumentation is playful with xylophone, trombone, harp, and trumpets played with mutes. Some tracks are jazzy and others more delicate orchestrations. There are a couple of funky breaks including a pretty nasty drum break in the last track:
