Look - I'll be the first to admit that this month's plan to buy less records has been a fairly comprehensive disaster!

Killer.

Well that's great - even the releases I convince myself I can live without, brother @TAG hips me too and ruins
everything. Just terrific.

My find of the week. When the seller listed it as Near Mint, I thought "yeah....right!". And wouldn't you know.....it's a stunner.

Talked about this on Damn Fine Podcast No.6...great bubbling synth library sci-fi. My thang.

Right then - it's my turn to hit the proverbial glory-hole for a few days, to pay for all this madness.

Yeah Commander is a banger for sure !

I just picked up the Bollywood Creature From The Black Lagoon (Maut Ka Saya) and The Burning Train too

It's intersting buying Hindi Records as they are practically impossible to buy Mint and usually come completely dog eared with torn covers etc but you still have to shell out £££ for them , Makes me wonder how some collector folks would cope getting a record throught the post with half its cover missing (as I did today !)

Lol, so true,

I dont think there is such a thing as a Mint- bollywood lp, or vg+ for that matter. Im guessing there is still a fair amount of undiscovered stuff out there too. I only have a few bollywood osts.

There are also lollywood osts, need to know more about these.

Horner's 80s scores are killer, no idea why I didn't grab this sooner. Pretty good film too.

https://www.flickr.com/photos/97369522@N07/18035557941
I'm sure I've seen the Vadim film, but don't recall the Duke Jordan music - really dig the sleeve though!

Joe Harriott & Amancio D'Silva Quartet - "Hum Dono"

"Coveted by collectors, this stunning gem of a collaboration represents the last recording by the great alto-saxophonist and freeform jazz pioneer Harriott, who left his native Jamaica for Britain in the 1950s. Like Harriott, guitarist Amancio D’Silva wasn’t British by birth but relocated to London in the ’60s, where he began fusing Indian music with jazz to create a unique sound that seamlessly melded both styles …"

Reissued by Dutton Vocalion on CD & LP. Just ordered the vinyl. More info through this LINK
