I really like that clear/red splatter version! It really works well with the cover art.

I got mine late last week from Unseen Forces. Pretty stoked except my side C skips on the first track. Haven't had a chance to check side D yet.

I love the soundtrack for this movie, so I decided to order it on LP. I have an above average system and all that, and I was shocked at how bad this thing sounds. Both records came straight from the factory with crazy clips and pops that can't be fixed. I thought they must have just been dusty or something, but there is an issue with the actual vinyl. Just buy the regular CD for this release.

Is your variants sounds good ? where do they come from ? I regret a lot didn't ordering the european variant from death waltz but amazon.com was 10€ cheaper to France.... Well, it seems that in definitive i lost 28€ instead of saving 10€. My first unfaithfulness to death waltz, and the last too.

Don't order to amazon.com, at least if you're a foreign consumer: i preordered the 7" cliff martinez's wanna fight, it went out of stock the day of the release and my order is still attending ! Luckily Invada annouced meanwhile that there will sell it for way less money.

fab6roses: I think they were all pressed the same place - DWR just got their own variants sent over, as I understand it. But that is troubling news. I was considering ordering it but am having second thoughts now. Anyone else notice any problems with the quality?

There is really no guarantee against pops and noises. Some DWR records have a lot of them as well (including the first "Fog" editions and Waxworks' "Re-Animator". I have several copies of both and it's apparently a general problem).

I have the black vinyl of Fog and the Re-animator, i can tell there's no comparison.

When i seen that another guy posted a similar commentary on the product's page,i thought that it was important to post about it on the forum.

But i'm sure other copies are clean, otherwise we've already seen a lot of offending words on this forum . Waiting for testimonies !

Received my copy. One is splattered yellow & the other is splattered orange; the yellow looks really good as it's almost see-through.

I haven't listened to it all the way through, yet. Probably do that tonight but what I did listen to, sounded really good. Nothing that sounded like clipping/distortion or were there a lot of pops.

The Amazon buyer should drop Unseen Forces a message if his copy sounds so bad.

Got my copy through Death Waltz it is fine,great packaging and green brown vinyl. Recommended if you haven't already got it!

Just bought this LP, so I was curious to read what you soundtrack-aficionados thought about it.. curious that most of the posts are about the colours and the gimmick, and almost nothing about the music. Anyway,I'm really impressed with this, the atmosphere is just overwhelming... Too bad that the vinyl plays extremely bad (this must be the worst sounding LP I have in my collection besides the Back on Black re-release for the Emperor debut, and I have a lot of really old 2nd hand stuff). Guess I'll try to find a download for the Ipod thus, because the music is soooo worth it.

I'm sorry to hear that yours has a lot of noise. I have the clear blood spatter edition and mine plays just fine.
