@TAG, double-dipping is against my norm, but I'm tempted by this reissue, even though I have the DW and expanded CD versions...

I wouldn't normally bother @chief but I'm grabbing one & figured a couple of the guys on here might fancy it too.

Guys --

Regarding this, and their stating that it's the first time the expanded release has been on vinyl. Just not true.

I have the Dagored 2000 release, which has exact tracklisting (inc. dialogue) as the latest re-issue.

It sounds great and you can still pick it up for less than £15.

If you have the DWRC release, that's the same tracklisting again, but without the dialogue excerpts - but all the music is there. So depending how you feel about such things....

Anyhoo, if you have neither the Dagored or desperately want the dialogue that's missing from the DWRC, then I guess this is the release for you. It's cool that it's split over 2 lps I guess, in terms of sound quality.

Yer buddy, Disco!

LITA has indeed updated its shop with some Silva Screen vinyl, including Utopia, The Leftovers (Max Richter), and Escape from NY.

Good man! Generally I'm not swayed by reviews, but there is so much praise for the Jodorowsky reissues I jumped in. Rarely let down by FK wax.

Murcof has a new soundtrack out -- for the film "Lost in Time." And, per usual, it's limited and expensive.

Disco is correct on EFNY

This is the same master we used (I Just omitted the dialogue) and infact the same master as Dagored used.

Should sound nice spread across two records though .

Sweet! I must say though, my apologies to Brother @TAG - responding in a bit of a rush to that post, it honestly hadn't occurred to me that I might be shoo-ing off potential customers to Shipping Records or elsewhere on this release! It wasn't my intention at all, I was merely passing on the info and, as I said, if you have neither of those previous releases and desperately want the dialogue, I'm sure this is a solid version that will sound great across four sides. My bad if it came across any differently, I apologise.

@monster

I feel ya.

Jesus, Votel & Co should get a knighthood or something. Consistently essential catalogue of outright bangers.

Doing my bit to promote the local Irish horror industry here, hope no-one minds!

Steve Lynch has made his title track to Let Us Prey, a new horror movie made in Ireland, available for free via Bandcamp HERE. I think it will definitely appeal to people here (be warned, it does contain spooky whistling at the end). The film stars Liam Cunningham (Game Of Thrones) and the teaser trailer had a promising amount of blood.

Not sure if there are plans to release a full soundtrack, but based on this, I hope so.

I saw "Let Us Prey" at the Montreal Fantasia Film Festival 2014, and it was an enjoyable movie although I don't think it's very rewatchable, it's mostly all happening in a police station, all in one night, you learn the characters secrets, there's carnage, mostly that's it. Kind of a graphic take on the assault on precinct 13 concept.

The soundtrack is super good ! It's one of the thing I really enjoyed about the movie. Hopefully it does get released at some point.
