Hi all,
So I need some cash to get either my James Flames print or Nicolas Delort framed (can't decide which) and so I'm selling these long sold out hand signed and numbered limited edition prints. I'll sell both for £30 (I paid £40) and depending where you are will sort out p&p. If you're interested please just let me know at: vapormeyer(at)hotmail.com.

These have never been taken out of their postage tube I'd like to add.

I'm so goddam skint at the moment, otherwise I'd take them both of your hands. With these, Evan C's "sealed grails" thread and everything else being released at the moment, I wish I didn't have kids to feed

Hi @chuck, no problem, it sure is an expensive time. I've spent shed loads on Mondo posters alone this year along with all the great library reissues. If you change your mind just let me know and hopefully they'll still be around.

What do you do for framing? I put a couple Mondo posters in some cheap ass Target frames, and from what I gather that is a no-good, rotten terrible sin against the poster god.

If I keep the shit frame, swap out the backing for acid-free backing and get some U/V plexi instead of the cheap plastic front will that suffice? Think I ought to be able to find that stuff somewhere local like an art supply or hobby store (NB: Fuck hobby lobby).

@texas Well, here's what I've learnt over the years. Nothing can beat taking a print to a framers and getting a frame made up for you. The key points to remember are: always get a mount made, even if it's an inch wide, this keeps the print away from the glass, if you get a change in temperature this can create condensation and ruin the print if it's against the glass. Secondly, I know it's expensive, but try to buy conservation glass. It stops 98% of UV light reaching the print and keeps the colours from fading. If your feeling particularly flush then you can get the non reflective UV (museum grade) glass, this stuff is fantastic, though pricey. If anything I tend to scrimp on the frame and spend the money on the glass to protect the print, which I consider the most important thing. Hope that's of some use.

I agree with @Vapor. Museum glass is amazing. When you compare it side-by-side with normal UV-protection glass, the reduction in glare from light sources is just fantastic. Spendy though!

@vapourmeyer You're a fellow Essex boy aren't you? There's a decent framers on Queens Road that makes them bespoke for a decent price. Almost opposite South Records. Might be worth enquiring in there

@Scotty Indeed I am, Southend born and bred. I'm actually trying to sell the Claypipe prints rather than get them framed, but funnily enough I went to that framers yesterday to get my James Flames print framed and the guy there was really helpful. I used to go to The Strand Gallery in Southchurch Road before realising they charge about twice as much as anyone else.

@vapor @ Scotty I played my first gig in Southend. The Minerva, I believe! Lived in Chelmsford for a while too. Lots of love for Essex, me!

@scotty I've been to many a gig at the Minerva, it's a swanky restaurant now but I've got good memories of that place. What band were you in?

All the good ones get poshed up!!

I used to play in a punk band called The Foamers. We used to knock about with The Filaments from Chelmsford quite a bit. Still good mates with them.
