Anybody know of an online collection or blog with vintage advertising posters for original scores/soundtracks? Google search did not turn up anything.

Either way, feel free to post any finds to this thread.

^^ Love those old 60s/70s/80s horror and sci-fi posters but that's a whole world of collecting & possible expense I'm yet to enter... :)

That's why those AMC LP re-releases that Red Goblin works on are so cool... where he includes old lobby cards and vintage promo ephemera.

As for posters advertising actual soundtracks - that's got to be pretty niche?

@Spencer - Great! I have not see that one before, and in Variety no less.

I am very curious if adverts for soundtracks were more or less common in Europe and the UK than in the US.

@Spun - Perhaps not store posters, but magazine ads might be prevalent, or maybe they barely exist at all.

Classic: In a nod to b-movie attitude, Village of Eight Gravestones and Horror Express are mixed up :)

I've got 2 myself, Tourist Trap (which i got for a steal) and i just picked up Patrick this weekend actually.

and that "Horror express" is such an odd beast with the Horror Rhapsody thing, i've had it in my hand a few times and never picked it up.

@Max - Fantastic, exactly what I was hoping to see. I am guessing magazine adverts will be the most plentiful. Since no blog seems to exist, let's keep this thread going.

Hey Deaf
It's not my blog. I'd remembered some soundtrack ads in Fangoria and stumbled across this collection. Too bad they're not in colour, but a good portion of Fango was always B+W.
Searching through 'retro' or 'vintage' blogs is usually a gold mine for things like this. Haven't seen one dedicated to horror ads or soundtrack ads, though.
I'm a little confused by the Classy Fred Blassie record on the "music for maniacs" order form.
"Picture disk mix of horror and wrestling!" I'm not sure it's either...in fact I'm not sure what it is... but I want it!

Very interesting to see these boutique mail order distros advertising primarily Varese Sarabande horror/scifi vinyl. Wish I had been able to get copies of Fangoria a bit easier back in the day. It would be interesting to hear from any forum members who were actually ordering vinyl out of these mail order shops.

Vintage ad for Alien swag, including OST vinyl:

Not the OST here, but a fun look anyway:
