@mateo

I need get those other janko's. I have supra pop impressions another great record.

There is also psych impressions. He also did a great library on the obscure belgian library label 'selection' called funky tramway, which I think may have also been reissued or maybe bootlegged.

@mateo, yowzerz! It is funky music isn't it.

To correct myself the library edition is titled funky music but it also got an issue on a small label with the title funky tramway.

Played both Riflessi and Grand Tour today and both I can confirm sound wonderful to my ears. Sonor once again hit the spot and I can't wait for their next wallet busting set of releases (7 or 8 at once I believe!).

Funky as Hell, Brother. The Funky Tramway record was released under the name Mad Unity http://www.discogs.com/Mad-Unity-Funky- ... ter/382574 on the Vogue label and later got a reissue on Vadim along with quite a few other Janko LPs. According to the YouTuber who posted the above video, Janko's wife painted this rather lovely cover art for the record:

Glad to hear it and thank for the update. 7 or 8!? That's a lot of dimp. Supposedly RSD releases, yeah? Gotta wonder how tough it'll be to get those Stateside.

probably my favourite number from the famous Rotary series by Tommasi. totally dig this mellow melancholy jazzy stuff. i think Dollarhyde has mentioned the record earlier on the old forum and is holding a original copy too. if you see a cheap Rotary you better not mess arround for too long. according to a Tommasi only 200 were made and most of them got destroyed in a fight with his wife. love the stories behind these odd records...

You and me both, brother. The library jazz moves the needle. I have an *ahem* copy of this and it is great, great stuff. I've still never heard 3 or 5 from this label.

great stuff indeed, glad you have a copy too Mateo!

i have rips of the Rotay 3 and 5 somewhere but i'm a fool with all these shares.

it's not the same like hearing the whole thing but if you want you can peep some snippets as funnily you can purchase the digital download from Amazon, haha!

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Giochiamo-Insi ... 18&sr=1-22

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00 ... entries*=0

both of them are very different to #4. hopefully this will give you an idea what they sound like...

Holy smokes, $1,000,000, these are on iTunes. I had no idea. I'll give 'em a wicked good sampling! Thanks for the hot tip. I seem to remember someone auctioning off a set of all seven releases last year or the year before. I'll have to look up what they went for.

@milliondollars @mateo

I have the boot too of swingers :P

Brilliant record would love an og or quality reish of some these.

Several of the rotary libraries are also on spotify.

There are some pretty banging electronic rotory lps a tension one and a technology one I think.

The original lps were a very private affair all recorded in Amedeo Tommasi's home studio.

This record is hitting all the right spots today, sounding just right with spring just round the corner.

@deaf

You honestly won't regret it - Funky Tramway is superb! Nilovic is definitely one of my favourite library discoveries, and that LP is my favourite of the lot.

Next up, a bit more autumnal or wintery but the morricone track on the b side has a similar sound due to some I cantori moderni involvement, and possibly alessandroni too.

Back with something a bit more seasonal. 1st in the CAM Pre series. These were actually billed as ost's (which they are) but were released on the library market with the intention of being recycled into other movies. Infact many CAM libraries are compiled from tracks from various osts.

This is a Gianni Ferrio score to the film 'I recuperanti'. Very unlike the typical ferrio score that people get excited about. No giallo or sexploitation, no funky beats or dramatic tension. Rather a very pastoral, bucolic small orchestral score, but I absolutely love this score there is one of several liet motifs that run through the score that really sound like I've heard them somewhere else.

http://www.discogs.com/Gianni-Ferrio-I- ... se/3136553

you can here the liet motif in question around the 20 second mark.

Yeah that dude is way too proud of his records to actually be selling them. €500 for the Violence! LP? Come on now.

this dude is not expecting to sel them, there area few discogs users like that and it is frustrating as they force up prices without even knowing it. this is a record that you should be able to get for 120-150€ from a trusted seller.

this dude lists for 1200€ and the next person who wants to list it for sale is thinking..."hey, i can sell it for like 600€ and people will grab it as they think it's cheap". and there your prices go... really fu**ed up if you ask me but that's a common problem on discogs. sometimes i have the feeling sellers have two or even more accounts and manipulate the price like the dudes on the wall street, haha! i guess i have to stop watching all these conspiracy theory movies...
