Vapormeyer wrote:I noticed that too. I can only think fees have increased via Bandcamp which may explain why the recent Cinedelic releases have been sold through their standalone website. Just a guess though. It didn't stop me from picking up five of the Sonor releases though, I find the digital files a real pull for me. surprised how quickly they've sold actually. I'm thinking that some of the 500 get sent to sell via other websites (soundohm for example).
actually only a part is being sold through bandcamp. i bet they will move to the sales to their own website soon, too.

one thing that puts me off is the quality of the recent releases. there are records that are far more interesting and i also miss the research that other labels do. just look at the Roundtable releases and the great liner notes they have. plus printed innersleeves, obi's and stuff like that. there's nothing better than good liner notes (besides quality music of course...). most library and OST reissues are straight loveless. i mean look at Dagored for example. the releases are a nightmare. just look at the pixilated cover art. oh dear...

i really appreciate the effort of most of the tiny labels but i miss the love. haha!

There's no excuse for pixelated cover art, one of my all time top hates, but I think the Sonor releases are pretty good sound wise (Would love a comparison done to some of the originals if anyone's game?). I love a good set of liner notes though and completely agree with you on that point.

I am partial to Cinedelic! Lots of love going into Marco's releases. Pressing quality is a lot better too now that he switched plants. No extra liner notes but really good quality and nice jackets.

Excellent dramatic orchestral library on Cinevox. Tracks by Gianni Ferrio, Lavagnino, Gaslini, Simonetti, & Usuelli. Some good ones like two of the Ferrio tracks "Ostinato Patetico" and "Tema E Percussioni" which are both from Amico, Stammi Lontano Almeno Un Palmo OST. The whole thing is pretty good.

got myself the reissue as a backup copy but to be honest, the reissue is the biggest fail i have heard in a while. i still think that it is not supposed to sound like that and something went wrong. was thinking of giving it to my kids to use it as a frisbee but then decided to sell it for 15€ if anyone is interested. i will give it to you for free if you cover postage...just give me a shout, haha!

i's a shame because i is a great record and deserves a reissue...

Re: new Sonor LP's

The Dindi Bembo Orchestra tunes are great. It's a must-have, and this is only the first one I have listened to...

Goddamnnn people spending so much on library. Got murdered in the last few auctions, people paying 3x prior highest auction price. Someone just spent almost 700 on a VG/vg+ copy of cross-way too.

Fuck

I wanted that grand Prix album today but not for 160

Someone buy my NM Indefinitive Atmosphere for $1100, where them dollars at??

Trying to forget about missing a copy of Cross-way by listening to another Gianni Mazza Fly release. Love this one. Oh well I'll get a Cross-way eventually...maybe.

Thanks for posting this - never heard of the artist but the music that comes on after your YouTube clip, moody electronics from the Selected Sound library LP 'Time Signals' by the same act is pretty badass:
