That description sounds tantalizing, $1000000. Unfortunately, it looks to be that very exciting combination of expensive and hard to find. I'm going to go employ some Google-fu to see if I can find some audio clips online.

@Mateo: the Grifo label is hard to trace. from the 22 that may exist i found 14 only. all of them is worth having though...

@million still on the hunt for that particular Filippi record. Someone listed Giardino Dei Miei Desideri last night, but I was too slow. Someone already snagged it.

another remarkable spin for me over the weekend. this one is interesting and sounds a little creepy and a little crazy. music reminds of early jazz based horror flick music and sounds similar to the Finders Kreepes sound selection that was released a few years ago. the first tune on side A (Satanistic Theme) is one of the three loongest library tunes ever recorded.

The new Cinedelics arrived today. The Macchi box set is lovely so far (have listened to the first disc so far). Three LPs. The liner notes say previously published in 1976 by Feeling Record Italiana, if so they must be very rare. Some of the tracks so far are just phenomenal. It is a bit spendy to import; Dusty Groove will probably get a couple of copies in soon. Definitely one to consider picking up if you're into the Macchi abstract contemporary classical library stuff. The other new Cinedelics all look quite nice as well!

Exterior packaging for shipment? The packaging is great, pretty robust especially for Italy. Wraparound-style cardboard mailer that is wider than the LPs to give some edge protection.

Packaging for the records is also nice. There is a hardcover box for the Macchi 3LP, and the other releases are in nice heavy tip-on style single sleeve jackets. Sharon Chatam's (aka Gianfranco Reverberi!) Fantasy has a raised UV spot varnish for the lettering that turned out nicely. Molino's Inside OST is in a heavy sleeve with soft-touch matte finish as opposed to the original which was in a very thin and glossy jacket. I think I prefer the glossy finish of the original, but they both look good. The Cipriani Rhythmical Movement LP is in a heavy jacket with debossed lettering and a shiny metallic finish.

I think they all are lights-out releases. Cinedelic has been on fire for a while especially since he switched pressing plants to MPO.

Thanks, @texas. It was indeed mainly the packaging for shipping I had in mind but it's cool to get a full product review as well :)

Anyone think that the Macchi LPs in the new box set smell a little like Lipton's Chicken Soup?

I have been staying on top of the Four Flies LP's, but I'm slacking on the latest batches of Cinedelic releases. Dusty Groove has been importing them for fair prices though, so I might need to catch up here soon. Nice reviews, @texasvinyl!

Picking up the new Macchi tonight sent by the wonderful Soundohm. I hope it doesn't smell like chicken soup. I hate chicken soup. Anyone heard any news about Zoo Folle from Four Flies?

@milliondollars

I was watching this auction I had a feeling it would go for a crazy price.

I've noticed a few rare library pieces pop up on eBay and discogs over the last few days.

Puccio Roellens on April Orchestra for example

Open air parade is one I've been after for a while. Maybe one day...

I do need to sell a very nice archive copy of Indefinitive Atmosphere to pay bills... I am asking $995 on discogs as I have not seen any NM copies available for less than €1000. For someone on the forum I could do a better price...

It looks like those Niagara LP's we discussed two pages back just got reissued by PMG Austria. I just ordered the self-titled and the S.U.B.. LP's from Dusty Groove:

Additionally, the third Niagara album Afire is being repressed by Wah Wah right now. Amazing that I could pick up their entire catalog for less than the price of a single OG copy.
