It's been a while since I posted in here so please bear with me. This is the Japanese pressing of Slaughter's from 1989 on Polydor. Great album and it sounds spectacular. Image

A Dollar (Pound) bin score for some, but pure gold to me. If you can't get down with Faltermeyer, then the rest of this post is going to be pretty annoying. Image

Now we get to the shameless stuff.

That's right. Faltermeyer like you read about, kid!

Thoughts on Manhattan Baby? I got a yellow copy, it is super meh. Poorly manufactured (pitting) and quite noisy, and the cover is missing the text.

I'd still really love to see Spencer reissue this on Death Waltz, I'd absolutely shelve this "Sub OST" and buy a proper reissue.

@texas - I picked up a black vinyl copy of the Manhattan Baby repress. I did not notice any pitting or surface noise, but I still prefer the sound on the OG for those first four tracks. I do enjoy having the rest of the sequences on the flip side. Fully agreed on the desire for a deluxe DWRC release.

Well, as long as it arrives in one piece, rather than pieces. :) My Neon Demon actually arrived in a very thin, bog standard bit of card, so I was grateful it wasn't affected in transit ... I did see someone posting where Amazon had literally stuck the address label on the shrink wrapped record, with no external packaging

@ScoJo

Heh! Hopefully that was a true one off bit of idiocy :)

I have faith that the vinyl gods will smile on you.

(Thought i was dreaming so looked back through my Twitter feed and below is the offending photo posted with the poster's message:)

"I guess @amazon are sending fragile records without putting them into any kind of packaging nowadays. What the fuck?"

I saw that posted elsewhere as well. WILD WEST type packaging right there.
