Thanks Disco. Off Limits is a bad(ish) action / serial killer flick set during the Vietnam War (in Vietnam) with a very cool semi electronic score. If you can pick it up on the cheap its worth it for a handful of very good cues.

I'm a huge JCV fan (no, NOT Van Damme you goof!) - never even heard of this, found it pretty cheap on the Bay. It's from '85, from a pretty saucy French flick it seems, and there's lots to love. Jean Claude does a little crooning on it, as is his general wont, so be warned

MASSIVEness from LITA - extremely sought-after Swedish soundtrack by everyone's favourite Swedish cowboy, and it's really really great I tells ya. Lush re-issue with booklet, poster, heavy heavy wax. And it seems that on the front sleeve LH is deep in conversation/cheap wine with Brian De Palma!?

Unreleased Jean Rollin score from Finders Keepers/Cacaphonic. Just about to spin, no idea if it's gold/essential, but they have a pretty great hit-rate and this has all the signs of being vintage frog eroti-horror... blood-type A+!

Chucky B - love it. Even have soft spot for the film I guess. This is one of dozens of Varese/horror scores that I STUPIDLY in a fit of STUPIDY STUPIDNESS sold off a long while back. When I was STOOPID. Really nice to have it back. (Now I'm no longer stupid....)

@discosucks (even thought it doesn't ) Right! I would love! love! love! to see an "Alien 3" vinyl release. Also would not mind seeing "Interview With a Vampire". Don't beat yourself up. I too got rid of many of my vinyl soundtracks when I was on the CD bandwagon. Now tables have turned and I am getting rid of the CDs as I replace them with vinyl editions. It's a topsy-turvy world.

Wow - that Final Fantasy disc looks AMAZING! Don't know if I've ever seen such successful three dimensionality.

It's a hard image to mess up, I do have to say though that other choices aren't so great - Side C's image of Aerith looks a bit ropey with all the light colours. I guess they felt that they had to go with the 'iconic' CG images, but would have been happier with a mix: a blank white side with the logo would have been great for example, or one with some of Tetsuya Nomura's CD artwork...

It is the Final Fantasy VII Vinyl set - came out last year but I only found out about it 3 weeks ago!

It's a good collection but a bit pricey, and only available through Square Enix's European site... I wrote a thing about it last week (here), there's a link in there somewhere to buy although Square's registration process just to buy the bloody thing is a nightmare!

Was "Interview with the Vampire" also Goldenthal then? I'll have to look into that! He's surely one of the most interesting and unique of modern score composers - to my thinking, he started a trend (using atonality/abrasive textures mixed with lush orchestration) for which a certain Mr Zimmer have been mopping up the plaudits. I mean, I know that Chris Nolan was having a bromance with Mann's "Heat" during The Dark Knight, but the score is surely directly referencing of Goldenthal's? In any case, love his stuff. (and hey, Zimmer not too shabby either of course!)

Oh brother - it's a good one. Usually the first Sunday of every month at the Church Hall in Moseley Village, but the really good soundtrack guy is only there every other month. There's always tons of other good shit thougb to be honest, bargains to be had! (I got FOES OST for £10, in very good condition Get in!
