Cheers @hatter. Must just be bad luck. I've had a lot of bad luck with warping to be honest. FW was the 2nd worst I can remember though. Twice!

PCA 2x 7-inch !!

Dollarhyde wrote:@BezulsqyWill check these out. So much to hear but so little time...
Panabrite aka norm chambers has released a shedload of sublime, deep ambient electronica.
R plus 7 by oneohtrix is great!
I also need to check M akers
I keep on returning to pca's black mill tapes volume 3 and 4 and being reenlightened, such a good album.

Dollarhyde wrote:@BezulsqyI concur with Dollarhyde here. I'd recommend Pavilion by Panabrite as an accessible, entry point to his ambient works and Nordsee and/or Contemplating the Observatory as a window into his lesser seen, Boards of Canada inspired side. As for M Akers, check out Elders of New Detroit for some inspired Carpenter worship and his latest, Whitest Hunters Blackest Hearts, for a more hard boiled synth fest. I can barely keep that one out of my tape deck. It is awesome.

Not been to Seattle since I was 6 or 7... a long time ago. Time for a return visit obviously! :)Some would say you're overdue for a visit, Spun. To your second point, I still find that Mondo has a lot to offer me, but I pick and choose a bit more. They release such a wide range of scores, stylistically speaking, that there are plenty I'm just not that into. Still, plenty do appeal. The recent Howard Shore releases and Horner's Wrath of Kahn spring to mind. They also, since the DWRC acquisition/merger thingy, have left a lot of the Italian and horror scores to DWRC which makes perfect sense. I still buy most of what DWRC releases, but I've skipped a few, too. Synchronicity and You're Next for example. Then again, I don't buy every release from any soundtrack/score label anymore; I really do pick and choose.
On another DW related note, am noticing it is still pretty exclusively the stuff on the DW label I am picking up with my Mondo orders. The more populist, less left field stuff that comes out on the big 'M' doesn't float my boat in quite the same way. A question of balance I guess... one 'Home Alone' for every stellar 'Black Belly of the Tarantula'
